The trend of gifting expensive cars and bikes has been gaining popularity among youngsters lately. We have seen several videos where people haver gifted such expensive things to their partners, spouse, sibling, kids or even parents. Parents have either gifted or been gifted such expensive things. Here we have a video in which we see a father surprise his 19-year-old son with a brand new Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R sports bike.

The video was shared by Vanshul Nagpal on his Instagram page with the caption, “Thank you for trusting me ❤️.” In the clip, the young rider is seen at a Kawasaki dealership with his parents, taking delivery of the new bike. It appears that the motorcycle was a gift from his father. The boy featured in the video is likely the youngest member of the family.

The family members especially the father looked extremely happy with the purchase. Naturally, many would wonder why parents would gift such a powerful motorcycle to a 19-year-old. The answer seems simple: being the youngest in the family, he is allowed to enjoy it. This reflects the immense trust his parents have in him.

The Kawasaki ZX6R, however, is a very powerful machine and requires responsible handling. For someone who is just 19, it can be overwhelming. Ideally, young riders should begin with lower-capacity motorcycles and gradually transition to bigger, more powerful machines.

This is important because most youngsters get carried away with excitement when they ride performance bikes for the first time. Inexperience often leads them to ride recklessly or push beyond their limits, which increases the risk of accidents. Sadly, there have been numerous instances in the past where riders injured themselves while riding high-performance motorcycles without adequate skill or maturity.

The comments section under the video reflects a mix of reactions. While many congratulated the young rider, some also expressed concern. Comments included: “Don’t break their trust by speeding,” “Hope he has prior experience with a 300+ cc (Royal Enfield doesn’t count here),” and “Handle it responsibly, brother. That is one angry bike ☝️.”

Fortunately, the rider in question is not a complete beginner. Despite being only 19, he already has experience riding performance-oriented machines. Before the ZX6R, he owned a Kawasaki Ninja 300 and an Aprilia 457 sports bike. With this background, he is familiar with how such motorcycles behave. Still, it is important that he doesn’t get carried away by the ZX6R’s performance and make poor decisions on public roads.

Public Roads Are Not Race Tracks

Recently, we have seen several viral videos of reckless crashes involving KTM Duke and RC motorcycles, where riders attempted stunts and raced on busy streets. Once again, it’s crucial to stress that public roads are for everyone’s safety and not for showcasing stunts or racing skills. If you want to push your machine to the limit, the right place is a racetrack, private road, or closed circuit not public streets.

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R featured in the video is powered by a 636 cc, 4-cylinder engine that produces 122 bhp and 69 Nm of peak torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The price of a brand-new Ninja ZX6R in India is ₹11.53 lakh (ex-showroom).
