Actor Ajith Kumar Buys BMW S1000 RR Superbike [Video]

Actor Ajith Kumar is known for his passion for cars, bikes and racing. He works primarily in Tamil movies and is estimated to have a net worth of 53.846 million US dollars. The latest reports confirm that he has added a brand-new BMW S1000RR superbike to his garage. Ajith was recently filmed riding it in Dubai.
A video shared on the Instagram handle 'I'm Mad On Bikes Nd Cars' shows the actor riding the S1000rr on Dubai roads. It looks like he is coming out of a hotel's parking. The actor is all suited up, and this clip seems to have been filmed after nightfall. Ajith has chosen the Lightwhite uni/M Motorsport (M package) for his S1000RR. This colour scheme looks menacing in the video and brings along features like M Carbon wheels and M footrests.
Ajith has long been a fan of BMW Motorrad products. In the past, we have seen him own a BMW R1200GS in India and take it on long rides. The S1000RR, strikes a stark contrast with the GS in terms of character. It looks like the actor enjoys both experiences. Ajith's interest in motorsport should have also done its part in adding the motorcycle to his garage, as the new S1000 RR fits well into both road and track use cases.
BMW Motorrad launched the all-new S1000 RR at the Bharat Mobility Expo this year. In India, the bike has an ex-showroom price of Rs 21.10 lakh.
The S1000 RR got significant updates for 2025. It now comes with a revised bodywork. It gets new larger winglets which can be seen clearly in the video here. These are functional and generate more downforce (up to 23.1kg at 300 kmph) than what was on offer on the previous bike. The new S1000 RR looks sharper from the sides. This, too can be seen in the video. We also get to see the gills on the side fairing and the upswept tail section in the above clip.
BMW Motorrad has packed this bike with features like five riding modes (Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race and Race Pro), launch control, hill start control, traction control, pit lane limiter and a new 6.5-inch TFT display.
The new S1000RR comes with a 999cc, inline-four engine which produces 206.51bhp and 113Nm. It is mated to a six-speed transmission. The company has also provided features like a race-tuned anti-hopping clutch, bi-directional quickshifter and a new M short-stroke throttle. The bike can do the 0-100 kph sprint in just 3.3 seconds. The top speed hovers over 300 kph. The chassis now has a one-piece swingarm at the rear.
Despite its price, the S1000 RR has been posting healthy sales in the Indian market. BMW Motorrad India, in fact, celebrated the milestone of selling 1,000 units of the S1000 RR in July this year. The 1000th motorcycle was delivered to a customer in Delhi. Clearly the S1000 RR enjoys a dominance in the litre-class superbike segment.
This success can be attributed to its easy-to-ride nature and impressive performance. The inline-four also comes with a meaty soundtrack. The pricing itself, is attractive considering this is a litre-class superbike from BMW. In the Indian context, the S1000 RR competes with the likes of the Ducati Panigale V4 and Aprilia RSV4 Factory.
Speaking on its success, BMW Group India's president and CEO Vikram Pawah described the S1000 RR as a 'symbol of precision engineering and absolute performance'. He further added that the milestone is proof of the model's popularity among Indian superbike riders.
