Dad Surprises Son On His Birthday With A Mini Dirt Bike [Video]

Kids love surprises. Cars and Motorcycles of various forms will always top the expectation list of young boys when they think of birthday gifts. Recently, an Indian dad surprised his son on his birthday with something he will likely cherish forever- a kids dirt bike! The unforgettable moment was captured on video and later shared online.
It starts by showing the parents waiting for the kid to come home. There is a BMW 3 series parked in the porch and a kids two-wheeler kept under a blue veil. A smart decoy, it looks like the baby-bike. In the next few moments, we see the boy arrive in an auto-rickshaw (likely from kindergarten). He's wearing casual clothes and not uniform. On their birthdays, most schools allow kids to wear casuals.
The dad receives him warmly. The boy sees the two-wheeler that's kept covered. Since it is his birthday, he soon figures it to be his birthday gift. With a warm smile on his face, he walks towards it and gets the cover off.
Giving the boy truckloads of disappointment, the two-wheeler under the cover turned out to be his old cycle! Look closely and you will see the boy's smile vanishing. He gets disappointed and the same turns into anger. He feels betrayed and expresses his anger to his dad. The dad and mom laugh at the same... The kid can even be seen hitting the guy's face with his tiny hands! The parents take the boy inside, where he receives the 'real surprise'.
As they open the door and enter the house, the boy sees another tiny two-wheeler parked inside, covered with a veil similar to the previous one. He is perplexed. Soon the kid starts smiling and his excitement level begins to rise. He rushes towards the gift and pulls the veil off. This time, he is greeted with a small dirt bike. He is elated!
In the next few shots, we see the dad coaching him on how to ride the bike and the boy is seen wearing his 'Motocross' helmet for the first time. This video is wholesome to watch, and the boy definitely had an unforgettable birthday.
When it comes to motorcycling, they say 'Teach them young'. If done right, early induction into the sport can be of great help in moulding riders the right way. This dad seems to have done the same. It should, however, be said that the kid in this case, 'seems' to be a bit too young to ride a kids bike. However, if he is coached right and kept under close parental supervision, the 'baby-bike' could turn out to be one of the best things in his life.
Now, let's talk about the bike itself. These used to be rare finds in the past. But today, you can buy mini dirt bikes online and get them delivered at your doorsteps. Many toy stores have these stocked as well. This dad seems to have bought it for Rs 30,000. A quick search online lists models in the price range of Rs 23,000- 31,000.
This motorcycle gets a 50cc, four-stroke petrol engine. You hear that right! We don't know what the exact power and torque figures are. There aren't road legal, and can ONLY be used in closed private properties, with strict parental supervision. Minibikes such as this can give our kids a proper taste of motorcycles and help them hone their skills before making it to the actual ones.
