Cops Scrap Royal Enfield Bullet After Rider Performs Stunt In Front Of A DTC Bus: Video

Doing stunts on public roads is illegal, but people tend to ignore this rule and still perform such acts, creating inconvenience for other road users. This often lands them in trouble. Strict action is often taken, and even heavy fines are issued to ensure that the rider doesn’t repeat the mistake. Here we have one such incident from Delhi where a Royal Enfield rider was seen doing stunts and riding in a zig-zag manner in front of a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus. After the video went viral, authorities decided to take action against the rider by scrapping the motorcycle.
The video has been shared by NDTV on their Instagram page. In the video, we see a Royal Enfield Bullet being ridden in front of a DTC bus on a public road. The rider is not wearing any helmet and is riding in a zig-zag manner.
He is, in fact, blocking the way of the bus, and it looks like he is doing this for the purpose of recording some viral content for social media. People often perform such stunts to gain popularity on social media platforms. In this video, we also see the biker interacting with the bus driver. The video was posted and, as expected, it did manage to go viral.
The not-so-good thing about this incident was the fact that the cops also came across this video. Upon checking, they realised that the video was recorded somewhere on the route of bus no. 253, which goes towards East Delhi’s Yamuna Vihar. A police team was formed to look into this matter and within no time, the location of the biker and the rider or owner was also traced.
When the officers reached out to the owner of the bike, they realised that the bike was sold by the first owner almost 13 years ago. However, the ownership transfer was never done. The cops questioned the first owner and realised that the bike was almost 15 years old.
They managed to trace the current owner, and the bike was taken into custody. There is a rule in the Delhi NCR region that doesn’t let anyone own bikes and cars that are more than 15 years old. This rule is in place as part of the anti-pollution policy in the national capital.
Under this policy, the cops seized the motorcycle and have scrapped the bike. We are assuming that the biker was also fined by the officers for his reckless behaviour on the road. Doing stunts on public roads is dangerous and illegal. The rider, as seen in the video, was riding the bike without a helmet, which is also another offence. The bus was so close to the bike that in case the biker lost control, the bus would have hit him and he would have suffered injuries too.
If you really want to do such stunts, always look for closed roads or private properties to avoid inconvenience to the public. The biker was not only putting his own life at risk but also the lives of many other road users. He was also stopping a government employee from doing his duty, which is also an offence. Hopefully, the rider would have learned his lesson and might not repeat this mistake again.
