India's First BMW R1300 GSA Trophy Superbike Delivered With A Special VIP Number [Video]

The German luxury automotive giant BMW’s motorcycle division, BMW Motorrad, launched the R 1300 GS Adventure back in January of this year. The deliveries of this hardcore adventure motorcycle were to commence in April; however, they got delayed, and recently, the first customer R 1300 GSA Trophy was delivered in Pune, Maharashtra. The images from the delivery of this ₹30 lakh motorcycle have been shared online.

These images of India's first customer-delivered BMW Motorrad R 1300 GSA Trophy have been shared on Instagram by BMW Motorrad Bavaria Motors Pune on their page. In the images, the owner of this motorcycle can be seen being handed over the key to his brand-new adventure motorcycle while standing on its footpegs.

The owner was also accompanied by family members while taking delivery of the R 1300 GSA. In another picture, he was also seen with his friend group, who surrounded the vehicle and posed for a group picture. What makes this particular BMW R 1300 GSA more special is that the owner has opted for a VIP registration number, “0001,” which itself costs a lot of money.

As mentioned above, the R 1300 GS Adventure was launched by the German bikemaker back in January of this year. This particular adventure motorcycle starts at Rs 23.35 lakh (ex-showroom) for the standard model. Then there is the Style Triple Black variant, priced at Rs 24.40 lakh.

As for the variant chosen by the owner of the bike above, it is the Style GS Trophy variant. It is priced at Rs 24.65 lakh (ex-showroom). As for its on-road price in Pune, it is Rs 30.37 lakh. BMW Motorrad also offers the R 1300 GSA in the Style Option 719 variant as well, which is priced at Rs 26.65 lakh (ex-showroom).

This highly capable adventure motorcycle comes equipped with a powerful 1,300cc twin-cylinder boxer motor, which is capable of producing an impressive 145 bhp of power and 149 Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed gearbox. It also gets Automated Shift Assistance (ASA) with Drive mode.

The R 1300 GS Adventure is suspended on a sheet metal main frame with an aluminium lattice tube rear frame. In terms of suspension, it gets the Telelever EVO system at the front and a Paralever EVO swingarm at the rear. It also comes with Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (DSA) and Adaptive Vehicle Height Control (optional).

Other notable highlights of this motorcycle include four riding modes, a riding assistance package that includes Active Cruise Control, Front Collision Warning, and Lane Change Warning. It also comes with all-LED lights, a 6.5-inch TFT display, keyless ride, and heated grips.

BMW Motorrad is soon going to launch the most affordable adventure motorcycle in its portfolio, the F 450 GS. This motorcycle is being developed in partnership with TVS Motor Company. It will be priced in the range of Rs 4–4.5 lakh. Powering this bike will be a 450cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine capable of producing 48 bhp of power and 45 Nm of torque. A test mule of this bike was recently spotted.
