We can also note that Shivakumar was wearing a helmet and was sitting on his bike, smiling before riding it on the new Hebbal Flyover Loop. Another image shows the Deputy Chief Minister riding his bike on the empty flyover alone. For those who may not be aware, he received his old Yezdi Roadking after a complete restoration back in September of last year.

In his post, Shivakumar stated, “Breezing through traffic at Hebbal Junction! The new Hebbal Flyover Loop, inaugurated today, will be a game changer for people commuting via Hebbal Junction. A 700-metre ramp, built at a cost of ₹80 crore in just 7 months, will reduce traffic congestion by 30% and improve commute quality.”

He added, “Also relived my college days by riding my old Yezdi Roadking. Dear Bengalureans, we’re committed with deep passion, and we will deliver.”

This particular Yezdi Roadking was bought by D.K. Shivakumar back when he was young and studying in college. The bike was not used much by him, was abandoned, and was collecting dust at his residence. Following this, a vintage motorcycle enthusiast named Suprith took his bike and completely restored it.

He then gave it back to the Deputy Chief Minister at his residence. During the delivery, he was also given a photo frame of the Yezdi to make the moment more special. D.K. Shivakumar's Yezdi Roadking is powered by a two-stroke, 250cc engine capable of generating 18 bhp and 24 Nm of torque, and it came mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox.
