India is a land of jugaads and we have seen several examples in the past that prove the same. People often find ways to work around issues and find alternate ways to resolve them. Here we have one such video that has been doing the rounds on the internet. Here we see a man who was so impatient at a railway gate that he decided to carry his Hero Splendor bike on his shoulder.

The video has been shared by Kapil Bishnoi on his X profile. The video was posted a couple of weeks ago. It is from North India but the exact location is not known. In this video, we see a well-built man carrying a bike on his shoulder. It initially looked like he was stuck in a traffic jam and was probably trying to avoid it by walking to the other side with his bike on his shoulder.

The bike seen here is a Hero Splendor and that would easily weigh over 100 kilograms. He is walking effortlessly with the bike on his shoulder. Surprisingly, he is navigating through the vehicles with ease. He lifted the bike and kept it on his shoulder in such a way that the seat was resting on his shoulder.

This way, the metal parts of the bike wouldn’t poke him and it would make things easier. He walks a bit and only after a few seconds do we realise that he was not getting away from a traffic jam, but was simply impatient and not interested in waiting at the railway gate.

Railway gates are often closed just before a train passes through the stretch. The gates are closed in order to control the traffic and ensure no accidents happen when the train passes. However, we have seen people trying to cross with vehicles even when the gates are closed. The man seen here is also doing the same thing.

He was stuck at the back of the queue and was probably impatient - so restless that he decided to cross the closed railway gate on foot while carrying the bike on his shoulder. He can be seen walking through the small gate with his bike to the other side of the track and finally putting his bike down. It looks like this is not the first time he has done something like this.

He seemed confident while carrying the bike on his shoulder. The Hero Splendor is not a very heavy bike and that would have worked in his favour for this act. The video was recorded by someone who was probably travelling with him.

Whatever the reason may have been, carrying a bike like that on your shoulder is not something we recommend. Even a small mistake could end up injuring yourself or others. Apart from that, crossing a closed railway gate is also dangerous. You never realise the speed of the arriving train and could end up in a crash. We have seen several videos in the past where bikers have narrowly escaped being crushed under a train while trying to cross in a hurry.
