Elderly Indian Mom Prefers Son's Harley Davidson Over Car For Long Road Trips [Video]
Most Indian parents like to travel on long-distance trips in a comfortable car. However, this particular motovlogger’s mother is someone who prefers bike rides over car rides. The vlogger, who owns a Harley Davidson X440, recently shared a video online in which his mother explains why she prefers riding on his motorcycle over being driven in a car on long road trips.
Mother Likes Riding on a Bike More Than a Car
This video has been shared on Instagram by Sandy Veer on their page. It starts off with the vlogger mentioning that he and his mother are riding from Pune to their village in Konkan, Maharashtra. Following this, he elaborates that he told his mother that as the drive would be long and they had some luggage as well, they should take their car.
However, his mother insisted on taking the motorcycle, and he then handed over the microphone to his mother to explain her choice. She then starts saying that riding on a bike feels better than driving in a car because she can stretch her legs and arms and also get fresh air on the road. His mother also mentions that they wear safe riding gear as well.
After this, she continues and highlights that she also does not get tired while being on the bike. In addition to this, she enjoys the view of the open skies, and the seat of her son’s bike has been made very comfortable, allowing her to stretch her legs, which is not possible in a car. The woman also states that sitting in a car for a long time makes her arms and legs very stiff.
The vlogger then adds that overall, his mother enjoys bike rides. He also highlights that so far, he and his mother have done three rides on the bike. These included rides from Konkan to Mumbai, then Mumbai to Alandi and back to Mumbai, and they have also done another ride from Mumbai to Konkan. He concludes by stating that his mom has become a professional pillion rider.

Prior to this particular ride, a little while ago, the vlogger shared a reel in which he and his mother went on a 380 km ride. Their ride commenced at 5:30 AM with a Hindu ritual for the bike for good luck and safety, following which they kept riding and stopped a few times for breakfast, scenery watching, and finally reached their destination.
Harley Davidson X440
As mentioned, this particular vlogger owns a Harley Davidson X440 motorcycle, which he uses to go on these long road trips with his mother. The bike was launched by Harley Davidson in India back in 2023. Currently, it is priced at Rs 2.39 lakh and goes up to Rs 2.79 lakh.
It comes equipped with an air/oil-cooled, single-cylinder, 440cc engine developed in-house by Hero MotoCorp. It is capable of producing a maximum power output of 27 bhp and a maximum torque output of 38 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed transmission.
As for features, it gets a round LED headlamp with a daytime running LED, rounded rectangular LED tail lamps, a USB charging port, and a full-TFT instrument console.
