The Ola Electric S1 Pro is one of the most popular electric scooters currently on sale in the market. It was one of the first EV scooters which became a hit after its launch back in August 2021. Ever since then, a number of people have shared their ownership reviews online. However, recently we came across an Ola Electric S1 Pro owner's review who has revealed that his scooter has clocked over 1 lakh km on the odometer in just three years. He gives all the details of the ownership of this scooter over the last three years, including costs of repairs.
Ola S1 Pro 1 lakh km review
This long-term ownership review of the Ola Electric S1 Pro has been shared on YouTube by Dil Toyota Biker on their channel. It starts off with the host introducing the owner of this 1+ lakh km S1 Pro. The first question which he asks the owner is when he purchased this electric scooter and how much he paid for it when it was new.
To this, the owner replied that he bought this scooter for his brother on May 29, 2022. He then added that at the time, he paid Rs 1.66 lakh for the scooter. When asked about the subsidies, he mentioned that he received the FAME-II subsidy of the Central Government. However, at the time of his purchase, the state government of Rajasthan had not given any subsidy.
Apart from this, he highlighted that this purchase price included the Ola Care+, which was priced at Rs 4,000, and it helped him in reducing service bills over the last three years. The owner then showed the odometer of this scooter, which read 1,00,566 km. Next up, the host asked the owner about the decision to buy the Ola S1 Pro.
He then replied that his brother had to ride his bike for 100–120 km and sometimes 150 km on any given day. So, in order to save on the fuel cost of his bike, they decided to buy the Ola S1 Pro. After this, the host started asking him questions about the ownership experience and the cost of service and parts of this scooter, which he had to incur over the last three years.
Service and parts cost
The owner started by mentioning that the company does not have any scheduled service intervals for this scooter. However, they service it whenever it breaks down. He then added that in the last three years, his scooter was in the Ola Electric service centre for over 6 months (not at a single stretch, but at different times).
Following this, when asked about the parts which he had to replace and the prices of those parts, he revealed that on the wear and tear parts, he had to spend around Rs 30,000, which included brake pads. They cost around Rs 1,500 for a set, and he has replaced them over 20–25 times. Apart from this, when his motor blew up at around 70,000 km, he had to pay Rs 18,000.
Apart from this, at around 75,000 km, he had to replace the battery pack of the scooter as well. He stated that he was not charged for the battery, as it was under warranty. The owner explained that initially, the company denied battery replacement as the vehicle had crossed the 40,000 km mark. However, as it was under three years from the date of purchase, they replaced it free of cost. He added that the company, however, does not give any warranty on the parts replaced. Overall, the owner gave this vehicle a 3/10 rating.
