Bollywood Actors Shahid Kapoor And Ishaan Khatter Go On Euro Trip Riding BMW R 1300 GS Adventure Bikes [Video]
Bollywood actors Shahid Kapoor and his brother Ishaan Khatter are out on a vacation in Europe along with Kunal Kemmu and a few others. The two brothers have been posting actively on their Instagram handles, sharing pictures and videos of their time in Europe. Interestingly, Shahid and Ishaan are exploring Europe on motorcycles! They have chosen BMW R 1300 GS for their trip.
The two brothers have always shared a passion for motorcycling. This isn't the first time that we have seen them embark on bike rides to scenic destinations. In 2019, we saw them embark on a similar European bike tour. In the videos and photos shared by the actors back then, we saw them riding across the scenic mountain landscapes of Europe. Shahid was celebrating the success of 'Kabir Singh' and Ishaan was sharing the joy of his Bollywood debut.
The latest trip is to the city of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Ishaan is now a known name in the industry. He was particularly praised for his role in 'The Royals'. His recent movie 'Homebound' premiered at Cannes this year. Shahid has been busy shooting 'Arjun Ustara', and has 'Cocktail 2' lined up. He seems to have taken a break from the 'Arjun Ustara' set for the trip.
Circling back to the latest Euro bike trip pictures, we see the two brothers posing for photos with their bikes- two BMW R 1300 GS, somewhere in Europe. Another video shows Khatter riding the adventure motorcycle at high speeds along scenic Euro roads. Khatter jotted down in the description 'First time the big bro and I have done a trip together.. just the two of us.'
Another clip also shows them refuelling at a fuel station. The two brothers seem to be enjoying their time with the R 1300 GS. The motorcycle, the successor to R 1250 GS, gets a design that favours comfortable long-distance touring. While one of the motorcycles shown gets alloy wheels, we aren't sure if the other one has alloys.
More About The R1300 GS That They Ride
The vehicles seem to have the 'Touring Package' on. This includes pannier mounts, chromed exhaust header pipes, adaptive headlight, knuckle-guard extenders and GPS device mounts. The motorcycle is offered in three colourways- Triple Black, GS Trophy, and Option 719 Tramuntana. The actors seem to be riding bikes with the GS Trophy colourway.
The R1300 GS is powered by a larger engine than what was being offered on the 1250 GS. It gets a 1,300cc, boxer-twin, liquid-cooled double overhead camshaft (DOHC) engine that produces 145PS and 149Nm of torque. The displacement has increased by around 46cc. The engine also gets ShiftCam variable valve timing for added fuel efficiency. BMW Motorrad has managed to reduce the weight by 4 kilograms by repositioning gearbox. The total weight has come down by 12 kilos.
On design grounds, the R 1300 GS is compact and gets features like matrix LED headlamp, daytime running lights, and a new main frame and a new dia-cast aluminium sub-frame. The bike retains telelever front forks and a paralever rear mono-shock. A new electronic dynamic suspension adjustment has also been added. The R1300 offers 20mm more travel at both ends, than the R1250.
The motorcycle also comes loaded with electronics and rider aids like selectable ride modes (Road, Rain, Eco, and Enduro), ABS Pro, traction control, hand protectors with indicators, dynamic cruise control with brake function, phone charging compartment with a USB charging socket, heated seats for rider and pillion, a 6.5-inch color TFT instrument console, RDC, MSR, heated grips, keyless ignition, and intelligent emergency call function.
