Woman Making Reel On Rapido Bike Taxi Ends Up Recording Her Own Crash [Video]
A lot of people, when they are alone, prefer to travel by Rapido bike taxis to save on time as well as money. However, we all know that not all Rapido captains ride carefully, and sometimes they get involved in accidents as well. Recently, a video has become viral on the internet in which a social media influencer was riding behind a Rapido Captain on a Rapido bike and was recording a reel. Well, little did she know she was recording herself getting into an accident on the same ride.
Girl recording her own accident
The video showing the girl recording her own accident has been shared on Instagram by Bhangra By Pahadan on their page. This short clip starts with the girl recording her face while sitting behind the Rapido Captain on the bike taxi. Soon after this, what happens is that the bike crashes into another two-wheeler coming from the opposite side.
We can hear that soon after she fell down, she started shouting that her leg was stuck. Following this, people around the spot of the accident came to the rescue of the Rapido rider and the girl. What's even more shocking is that this particular accident took place just in front of a Delhi Police patrol vehicle.
Carelessness of Rapido Captain
According to the girl, this particular Rapido rider started off with her feeling very unsafe and uncomfortable. She stated that at the time of sitting on the bike taxi, she asked the Rapido Captain to give her a helmet. However, he did not have one to provide to her and also was not wearing a helmet himself. The girl highlighted that he told her that a helmet is not required.
Following this, the girl continued that the Rapido rider was constantly breaking a lot of traffic rules while riding, which was bothering her. The influencer added that the rider would keep on taking wrong sides, and with each turn, her heart was racing. She then brought out her smartphone to record the video of his actions.
In her post, she added, “I even told him why did u cross the road and took the wrong side when the metro is on the other side. He said, ‘Mam, due to the traffic I did it,’ and he was listening to music, chanting ‘Har Har Mahadev’ to each Shiv Kanwad tent on the way.”
Finally, while riding on the wrong side of the road, the Rapido rider crashed the bike into another two-wheeler coming from the opposite side. She added that even though the accident took place in front of the Delhi Police patrol vehicle, they did not take any action against him as the rider himself was injured. As for her, she walked to the nearest metro to complete her journey.
Request to Rapido
The influencer, in her post, requested Rapido to look into the matter. She stated, “With all this incident, I just want to highlight @rapidoapp @rapidocaptain to hire people who are responsible rather than those nonchalant guys who ride like they have 9 lives.”
Rapido’s response
The bike taxi aggregator quickly responded to the request of the girl. It stated, “Thank you for confirming that you're fine. As per your request, we are not taking any action against the captain involved. However, if you face any similar issue in future rides, please feel free to reach out to us. We will be more than happy to assist you. Thank you for your time and patience.”
