Swedish Woman On India Roadtrip Has Truck Reversing Into Her Superbike: Here’s The Result [Video]

While we have always seen a fair number of foreigners exploring India in the past, lately, there are many who are actually bringing their own motorcycles and riding them in India. Many of them document it, while others simply do it for their own happiness. With the popularity of social media increasing, many have started posting videos online too.
Here, we have one such video of a Swedish woman who was exploring India and was on her way to Nepal when she met with an accident. A truck had reversed into her bike, and here’s what happened after that.
The video has been shared by Krikkos Adventure on her YouTube channel. The Swedish woman was exploring India on her second-generation Honda Transalp XL650V adventure tourer motorcycle. This motorcycle is not commonly seen in India and was never sold here officially.
She was riding from Assam to Bihar and was planning to enter Nepal, which was probably where she intended to end her ride. While on her way to Bihar, she had to ride through narrow, winding roads with heavy truck traffic.
She was stuck in traffic jams a couple of times and was intimidated by the large trucks passing so close to her bike. She was extremely careful and managed to leave all of them behind and continue riding.
The roads were broken, and she, along with her bike and luggage, was covered in dust from all the trucks passing by. She continued her journey, and while passing through Bihar, she took a small break to hydrate herself - that’s when the accident happened.
There were trucks parked on the side of the road, and she had stopped behind one such tipper. The tipper slowly reversed, and even before she realized what was happening, the truck had rammed into the bike, which got stuck under the truck.
She escaped unhurt but was traumatised because she was not expecting anything like this to happen. The truck driver and the locals who gathered around the bike started attempting to get the bike out. The side stand of the bike was engaged, which made things even more difficult. The bike was almost wedged between the truck and the road, but the locals somehow managed to get it out.
After the bike was brought out, she checked it and realized that the flyscreen, fender, and instrument cluster were not working. Most importantly, she wasn’t getting any warning lights on the instrument cluster, and the fuel gauge was also not working.
She was exhausted and worried. The bike was still in working condition, so she rode it to the nearest Honda dealership. As expected, they didn’t have the right parts to fix the motorcycle, but they offered her help and fixed all the issues they could.
The flyscreen was also temporarily fixed, and the side stand was repaired. The rider was extremely happy with the way the service center helped her - and above all, they didn’t even charge her, telling her that she was their guest and didn’t have to pay.
While riding on Indian roads, one has to be extremely careful, and this video is a good example of that. The accident happened when she was not even riding the bike. Never park your vehicle too close to trucks or buses, as they have large blind spots and many of them drive recklessly. It is always a good idea to maintain a safe distance and park your vehicle in such a way that the driver can see you through the ORVM.
