New TVS NTorq 150, Orbiter Electric Scooter, And King Kargo EV Gifted To Guruvayur Temple

In India, people often make offerings to temples and their deities to express gratitude, seek blessings, and foster their inner peace. Even automotive manufacturers offer their products to temples and other religious institutions. The latest such news comes from Kerala. TVS Motor Company has given its latest products- the NTorq 150, Orbiter electric scooter, and the King Kargo EV to the Guruvayur temple in offerings.
The Chennai-based manufacturer has already handed over the vehicles to the temple authorities. A video of this has now surfaced online. It shows the three products- two scooters and the three-wheeler EV- parked at the entrance of the temple.
A Pujari (priest) is seen doing rituals on these. A person, likely a key figure at TVS, hands over the keys. The video then shows more visuals of the temple and the crowd there.
This time, TVS has offered the deity its latest launches. The King Kargo EV, Orbiter and the new NTorq 150 were all launched in the last two months. The electric three-wheeler was the first to arrive. It went on sale on August 21, 2025. Targeted at the last-mile delivery market, it comes with a 6.6ft load bay and the lowest turning radius in its segment- 3420mm.
The King Kargo electric three-wheeler has a top speed of 60 kph, and comes with a six-year/ 1.5 lakh km warranty. It gets a capable leaf spring suspension setup, which will ensure stability under heavy cargo. The company also claims a water wading capacity of 500 mm for this product.
The battery pack will be able to recharge in 3 hours 10 minutes, translating to quicker turnaround times. The vehicle also features 200mm drum brakes and excels with its stopping distances. The ex-showroom price of this product is Rs 3.85 lakh.
The Orbiter is the long-awaited budget-friendly electric scooter from TVS. It sits below the iQube and has an ex-showroom price of Rs 99,900. It packs a lot of features, including segment-firsts. You get the likes of cruise control, hill-hold assist, and a 34-litre underseat storage.
The Orbiter has a unique visual identity and comes with an 845 mm long flat-form seat. The instrument cluster here is an LCD unit and offers mobile phone connectivity. This electric scooter features a 3.1 kWh battery pack that is claimed to deliver a range of 158 km per charge.
The new NTorq 150 is the latest launch from the manufacturer. It went on sale on September 4, 2025, at a price of Rs 1.19 lakh, ex-showroom. The new NTorq comes in two variants- Standard and with TFT cluster. The NTorq is a familiar nameplate in India, but the company has now given it a major makeover.
The new scooter gets multipoint projector headlamps, a new taillamp cluster, a sharper front apron, and a naked motorcycle-like handlebar. The new scooter comes in four colours- Turbo Blue, Stealth Silver, Racing Red, and Nitro Green.
The new NTorq comes equipped with a high-resolution TFT instrument cluster, 4-way navigation switch, and integrated telematics. It also gets ABS and traction control. On the powertrain front, it features a 149.7cc, air-cooled, 03CRech unit that produces 13.2 PS and 14.2 Nm of peak torque. 0-60kph is done in 6.3 seconds. The top speed is 104 kph. This engine comes with an Integrated Starter Generator as well.
This isn’t the first time that TVS has offered vehicles to the Guruvayur temple. In April this year, the company had gifted the temple five iQube electric scooters. In March 2006, a brand-new TVS Apache 150 was also offered to the same temple.
Mahindra made headlines when it handed over a brand-new 3-door Thar to the temple authorities, soon after the SUVs went on sale here.
