KTM 390 Enduro Launch Soon: Teaser Video Out

The Austrian bike manufacturer KTM has been struggling for a while now. However, despite its global struggles, the company is planning to extend its India portfolio. Recently, KTM, via social media handles, shared a teaser announcing the arrival of its hard-core off-roader, the 390 Enduro R. Most likely, the launch of this motorcycle will take place by the middle of this month.
KTM shared the teaser of the upcoming 390 Enduro R on its Instagram page. In its post, it stated, “Less road. More reason. Built to take on the untamed. KTM 390 ENDURO R coming soon.” The company has also highlighted that the “Specifications are market-dependent.” Now, what exactly it will be changing on this bike for the Indian market is currently unknown.
This unique and dedicated off-roading motorcycle was first shown at the EICMA 2024. KTM also opened the bookings for the 390 Enduro R back in December of last year. Now, it has been reported that the company will be launching it by the middle of April. It is believed that the pricing of this model will be around Rs 3.3 lakh, making it more affordable than the 390 Adventure, which was launched a little while ago.
In terms of design, the KTM 390 Enduro R takes its design inspiration from the 690 Enduro R. Unlike other KTM motorcycles, the main purpose of this bike is to take on the terrains which other bikes cannot go on. This hard-core off-roader is capable of climbing mountains, crossing rivers, and riding on the roughest roads imaginable.
For the 390 Enduro R to be able to ride on such terrains, the company offers it with Mitas knobby tyres, which are specifically designed for off-road use. The front wheel of this bike is a 21-inch spoked wheel, which gets a 90/90/21 tyre. As for the rear, it is an 18-inch spoke wheel that gets a 140/80-18 tyre. The bike also comes with a 9-litre fuel tank.
KTM also offers the 390 Enduro R with upside-down forks (230mm travel) and a rear monoshock, which also offers 230mm travel. Braking duties on this off-road bike are handled by a 285mm disc with axial caliper at the front and a 240mm disc in the rear. Also, it comes equipped with dual-channel ABS and a dedicated kill switch for ABS for off-road use.
Coming to the main highlight of the KTM 390 Enduro R, the bike gets the capable 399cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder LC4C engine. This motor is capable of producing 45.3 bhp and 39 Nm of torque. As for transmission, it will come with a 6-speed gearbox. The bike will also get shorter gearing than its sibling, the 390 Adventure, for better off-road performance.
In terms of technology, the 390 Enduro R will come equipped with a 4.2-inch TFT display with Bluetooth, turn-by-turn navigation, music control, call alerts, app connectivity, and drive modes. The bike also gets a USB-C port for charging mobile phones, and LED headlights and taillights, along with turn indicators.
