Ducati India has introduced the 2025 Multistrada V4 and V4 S, its latest adventure touring motorcycles, with prices starting at Rs 22.98 lakh for the base model and going up to Rs 30.18 lakh for the V4 S with spoked wheels. The updates bring new technology, efficiency improvements, and comfort features while keeping the bikes positioned in the premium end of the market.

Automatic Lowering Device

A key addition in the 2025 update is the Automatic Lowering Device. The system reduces the seat height by up to 30 mm when the motorcycle slows to below 10 km/h and returns it to standard height above 50 km/h. The feature is aimed at making low-speed manoeuvers and stops easier on a tall, heavy bike. It operates automatically, without input from the rider, and can be switched off for off-road riding where maximum suspension travel is required.

Engine and Efficiency Updates

The Multistrada V4 continues with the 1,158cc Granturismo V4 engine. For 2025, Ducati has added extended cylinder deactivation. In earlier versions, rear cylinders shut off only at idle. The updated system deactivates them while riding under light loads, up to around 4,000 rpm. Ducati says this reduces fuel consumption by about 6 percent compared to the outgoing model. Full power remains available whenever the throttle is opened.

Suspension and Safety Features

On the V4 S, Ducati offers the Skyhook DSS EVO semi-active suspension. It incorporates predictive bump detection, adjusting damping between front and rear wheels when crossing the same obstacle. The suspension also has self-levelling preload, adapting automatically to rider weight, passenger, and luggage.

The 2025 models expand the radar-based safety suite. Along with Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection, the bikes now feature Forward Collision Warning. These systems, more common in cars than motorcycles, are designed to reduce fatigue and enhance safety for long-distance touring.

Design and Comfort Changes

The styling has been refreshed with sharper lines influenced by Ducati’s Panigale superbike. New LED headlights include cornering functions for better illumination, and the exhaust silencer has been redesigned to change both appearance and sound.

Passenger comfort has also been improved. The seat has been reworked, panniers repositioned, and luggage mounting points updated. These changes are aimed at improving usability for two-up touring.

Pricing and Maintenance

The 2025 Multistrada V4 range starts at Rs 22.98 lakh for the standard V4, Rs 28.64 lakh for the V4 S, and Rs 30.18 lakh for the V4 S with spoked wheels. This places the range against other high-end adventure tourers in India, competing on technology and features.

Maintenance intervals continue to be a selling point. Oil changes are required every 15,000 km or two years, while valve clearance checks are due at 60,000 km. These longer service gaps are intended to reduce ownership costs compared with some rivals in the same class.

All in all, there are little improvements everywhere that this Ducati and easier bike to live with - if you can afford it!
