In a move to expand its adventure touring portfolio in India, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the 2025 XL750 Transalp, priced at ₹10.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram). This version continues from the previous model in terms of pricing while introducing updated equipment and features.

Updated Styling and Wind Protection

The latest Transalp features design updates at the front, borrowing elements from the CB750 Hornet and Africa Twin. The dual LED projector headlamp has been reworked for a more upright appearance. A redesigned visor now includes a central duct to help manage airflow, and the bike uses a windscreen made from bio-based plastic intended to improve wind resistance for the rider.

Suspension Tweaked for Indian Conditions

The suspension setup has been adjusted for better performance on a variety of terrains. The front features a 43 mm Showa SFF-CA fork with softer compression, while the rear uses a Pro-Link monoshock with firmer damping. Both ends offer greater adjustability for compression and rebound, aimed at providing a more balanced ride on and off-road.

Digital Console and Connectivity

The bike comes with a 5-inch colour TFT display. The interface and switchgear are similar to what is found on Honda's NX500. Riders can control various settings using a four-way handlebar switch, and the console supports Honda RoadSync for smartphone connectivity. Other practical additions include a hazard-light-based emergency stop signal and indicators that cancel automatically.

Riding Modes and Engine Details

The XL750 Transalp is powered by a 755 cc parallel-twin engine that produces 90 bhp and 75 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch. The bike also features five riding modes: Sport, Standard, Rain, Gravel, and User. These modes let the rider adjust power delivery, traction control, ABS, and engine braking. A bi-directional quickshifter is offered as an optional accessory.

Braking and Wheels

The bike is equipped with 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels, fitted with tubed tyres. The braking system includes dual 310 mm discs at the front and a single 256 mm disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS as standard.

Availability and Colour Options

Bookings for the new Transalp are now open at Honda’s BigWing dealerships across India. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in July 2025. Two colour choices are available: Ross White and a dual-tone Graphite with Matte Black.

At this price point, the XL750 Transalp offers a set of features targeted at riders looking for a middleweight adventure touring motorcycle. With updated electronics, revised suspension, and improved rider ergonomics, Honda appears to have tailored the package to suit the needs of Indian buyers without making significant price changes. The availability of customisation options like a quickshifter also adds flexibility for different riding preferences.

The Transalp now enters a competitive segment that includes other mid-capacity adventure bikes, and its performance across varied road conditions will likely determine its appeal over the long term.
