Meet The 79-Year-Old Motorcycle Enthusiast Who Rides A Kawasaki Ninja 650 Superbike [Video]
Every now and then, a video is shared online that makes us believe the phrase “age is just a number.” In this recently shared video by a motorcycle shop and cafe, a 79-year-old gentleman was seen bringing his Kawasaki Ninja 650 sport bike for regular service. It can be seen that despite his age, the old man still has a deep passion for riding, and he loves to take care of his motorcycle.

This video of the 79-year-old gentleman taking his Kawasaki sports bike for maintenance has been shared on Instagram by Rats Bikers Cafe on their page. It starts off with a voiceover of a female mentioning that recently they were visited by one of their regular customers, a 79-year-old man by the name of Rustom Cooper. She added that he owns a Kawasaki Ninja 650 sports bike and left it for general service.
Following this, she mentions that this time around, they will be servicing the bike and replacing the general wear-and-tear parts. The host states that they will be changing the old, worn parts with Crank1 brake pads, a fork seal, an oil filter, and a reusable air filter. Additionally, she added that they have also added new engine oil and given the bike a thorough wash.
After this, the bike was ready, and Mr. Cooper came to the shop to collect it. The host states that they salute the passion of Mr. Cooper and that working on his bike felt like a privilege to them. In the clip, the old man can then be seen checking out his motorcycle after it was fully ready.
Kawasaki Ninja 650
As stated, the motorcycle seen in the video is a Kawasaki Ninja 650, which is priced at Rs 7.16 lakh. At the moment, however, the company is offering a discount of Rs 45,000. The Ninja 650 comes powered by a 649cc, parallel-twin engine. It makes 67 bhp of peak power and 64 Nm at 6,700 rpm. Transmission duties are handled by a six-speed gearbox.
Many old men still ride bikes
This is not the first time that we have seen an old gentleman riding and taking care of his motorcycle. Recently, we shared a story of the classic motorcycle mechanic from Mumbai who goes by the name of Sattar Pilot on Instagram. He is the owner of Sai Works shop, which is popular for the restoration and repair of classic and iconic motorcycles.
In the viral clips shared by Sattar Pilot, he is seen riding and stunting on classic motorcycles like the Yamaha RX-100, RX-135G, and RD350. In all of these videos, he is seen power sliding these bikes and also doing wheelies on the road in front of his shop. He also rides these bikes very spiritedly. However, despite his age, he controls the bike in a manner that is very impressive.
