Recently, after getting fed up with the problem of some scooter riders performing wheelies on public roads, a group of people caught these offenders and threw their scooters off a bridge. Now, the video showing their scooters being thrown off a flyover has been shared online.

Angry public throws scooter of stunt riders

This video of angry people throwing off scooters of stunt performers has been shared on X by Kiran Kumaar. It has been shared with the caption, “Commuters seem to have got furious with wheelies being conducted on roads and have thrown vehicles that were caught from the flyover. Police should treat the wheelies as a serious offense ⁦@ChristinMP_⁩ ⁦@anil_lulla.”

In this short video, what we can note is that there were a number of people gathered on top of a flyover. Also, there were numerous people on the road below as well who were watching this unique display of frustration and aggression.

The video shows that the angry people first threw a scooter off the bridge. At the same time, the people were also abusing the stunt performers. They were speaking in Marathi, which suggests that this video has been shared from somewhere in Maharashtra.

The video then continues to show that these angry people also managed to throw another scooter off the bridge as well. Soon after this, the traffic that was stopped was seen continuing on the road.

Is this legal?

Well, the short answer is that this act done by the public is wrong. However, many netizens have supported this act done by the angry public. Many people have stated that the problem of these young men performing stunts on public roads has become a huge issue.

These stunt riders, when they perform wheelies on public roads, distract other riders and drivers on the road. Also, it has to be mentioned that such stunts inevitably can cause accidents as they can come in contact with other people on the road if they fail to control their vehicle.

Now, we understand that taking the law into one’s own hands by throwing away scooters is wrong. However, the government and police authorities on many occasions have failed to take action against such stunt riders. Hence, this time around, the public showed its frustration by throwing the scooters of such riders.

As mentioned, in a lot of cases, the police authorities fail to take action against such stunt performers. However, recently the Bengaluru police managed to arrest a number of stunt riders. Bengaluru ACP Traffic Northeast shared a tweet in which it was stated that they have arrested 44 people who were performing wheelies on the airport road.

The post stated, “Caught 44 persons doing wheeling on KIAL airport road & booked 33 cases. Devanhalli 9, Yelahanka 6, Hebbal 18 cases…hunt is on…” Also, the same X account has shared a video in which a rider performing wheelies along with a friend was arrested.
