Bajaj Bruzer Teased: All You Need To Know About India’s First CNG Bike

After the launch of the NS 400Z, Bajaj is now all set to launch their brand-new motorcycle, Bruzer. It is not your usual motorcycle that uses petrol but the world’s first bike to run on CNG fuel. Bajaj will officially lift the cover off this new bike on July 5. Before the official launch, they have released a new teaser video. In this article, we’ll talk about everything you need to know about India’s first CNG bike.
The video has been shared by Bajaj and is available on various social media platforms. In this newly released teaser video, we get a glimpse of what to expect from the bike on July 5.
World’s First CNG Bike: Bruzer is a one-of-a-kind motorcycle as it uses CNG fuel to run. It is the first motorcycle in the world to have this feature. To date, we have only seen this feature in cars.
Engine: The upcoming Bajaj Bruzer is expected to be powered by a 125cc engine. The engine is designed in such a manner that the rider can seamlessly switch between petrol and CNG modes, just like in cars. We see the button to switch between these modes in the teaser video.
Styling: The Bruzer is not meant to be a performance bike. It is a commuter bike and is designed as such. The biker gets a design similar to what we have seen in bikes like the Bajaj Boxer and CT100. The bike will have round reflector headlamps and an extremely long and wide seat.
Where is the CNG tank?: Finding an appropriate position for the CNG tank was probably the most challenging task in this project. Bajaj has placed the tank along the length of the bike. The tank is neatly located under the seat and is protected by the subframe. The sloping design of the engine is what helped the manufacturer in this case. We hope they managed to get a clean look after integrating the tank.
Is It Safe?: The placement of the cylinder may raise this question in the minds of some who are reading this. It should be noted that the cylinder is protected and secured in place. The filling valve for the CNG is probably placed under the seat. When compared to LPG, CNG is considered a lot safer as it is lighter than air and gets dispersed in the air without causing harm in case of a leak.
Fuel efficiency: The motorcycle does have a small fuel tank which is actually a good thing in case you run out of CNG. The CNG bike from Bajaj is expected to be more fuel-efficient than other motorcycles in the 125cc segment.
Like most modern commuter motorcycles in the country, the Bruzer will be offered with 5-spoke alloy wheels, electric start, a telescopic fork at the front, and dual-shock absorbers at the rear. Bajaj will be offering drum brakes on both the front and rear of the bike. Bajaj might also offer disc brakes as an option. Bajaj as usual is expected to price this CNG bike quite aggressively.
