Bajaj Auto has introduced the Pulsar NS125 with a single-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) in the Indian market, priced at ₹1,06,739 (ex-showroom Delhi). This update aims to enhance rider safety and maintain the Pulsar NS125’s position as a leading choice among 125cc motorcycles.

The Pulsar NS125 is powered by a 124.45cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers 11.8 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 11 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Bajaj claims it to be the most powerful motorcycle in its segment.

In 2024, the motorcycle received significant updates, including a new LED headlamp with Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs) and LED turn indicators, enhancing visibility and modernizing its appearance. The rear retains the signature twin-strip LED tail lights.

The updated digital instrument cluster, first seen on the Pulsar N160 and N150, offers features such as a speedometer, real-time fuel consumption, average fuel economy, and a gear position indicator. It also supports Bluetooth connectivity through the Bajaj Ride Connect application, allowing riders to access call and message notifications. Additionally, a USB port is provided for on-the-go device charging.

The motorcycle’s dimensions include a length of 2,012 mm, width of 810 mm, height of 1,078 mm, and a wheelbase of 1,353 mm. With a ground clearance of 179 mm and a seat height of 805 mm, it offers a balanced ride suitable for various terrains. The kerb weight stands at 144 kg, and it comes equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with tubeless tyres. The fuel tank capacity is 12 litres, ensuring ample range for daily commutes.

The braking system comprises a 240 mm front disc and a 130 mm rear drum brake, now enhanced with single-channel ABS for improved safety. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock, providing a comfortable and stable ride.

While all three motorcycles offer competitive features, the Pulsar NS125 ABS stands out with its higher power output and advanced features like Bluetooth connectivity and LED lighting.

In the competitive 125cc motorcycle segment in India, the Bajaj Pulsar NS125 faces notable rivals such as the Hero Xtreme 125R and the TVS Raider 125. In November 2024, Bajaj’s 125cc Pulsar models, including the NS125, recorded sales of 77,263 units, comfortably ahead of its rivals.

The Hero Xtreme 125R has shown impressive growth, with 25,455 units sold in November 2024, securing the tenth spot among top-selling motorcycles in India.

The TVS Raider 125 achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 1 million units in cumulative sales since its launch in September 2021, with 212,941 units sold between April and September in FY2025.

While the Pulsar NS125 maintains a strong presence, the Xtreme 125R and Raider 125 are rapidly gaining traction, intensifying competition in this segment.
