Made-In-India BMW F 450 GS Adventure Bike Confirmed For 2025 Launch: Fresh Details Surface

The entire motorcycle enthusiast community is excited for the launch of the BMW Motorrad F 450 GS, which will be produced in India in collaboration with TVS Motor Company. Now, to add to this excitement, BMW Motorrad recently announced that it will be launching the F 450 GS by the end of 2025. Presently, the exact date of launch has not been revealed. However, we can expect it to make its global debut by November or December.
The F 450 GS will be positioned as the premium adventure motorcycle that will be affordable for new buyers. It will also serve as the perfect smaller-capacity adventure motorcycle for enthusiasts who own bigger adventure bikes and want to downsize. It will sit above the BMW 310 GS, which is currently on sale in India.
The main highlight of the upcoming BMW F 450 GS will be its all-new 450cc parallel-twin engine. This motor has been entirely developed by BMW Motorrad from the ground up. It will make 47.3 bhp of power. It will have a top speed of around 167 kmph and will be ideal for both city and off-road use.
In addition to the above details, BMW has also confirmed the development of a semi-automatic gearbox version using its proprietary ASA (Automated Shift Assistant) system. The F 450 GS will also be available in a traditional manual gearbox configuration. The semi-automatic variant will provide younger riders with convenience without losing control.
Its dry weight will be around 175 kg, which will make it one of the lightest twin-cylinder ADVs in the segment. The upcoming BMW Motorrad F 450 GS will utilise a bridge frame made of steel tubing lattice construction. It will also get a bolted-on rear subframe for easier repair. Other notable highlights of this test mule were an aluminium swingarm with a centrally mounted spring strut with direct mounting.
Recently, a test mule of the F 450 GS was spotted testing, and it revealed that the production version will be a little tamer than the concept version that was shown at EICMA last year. It will come equipped with a conventional dual LED headlight setup, gold shock absorbers, and a large front visor.
The height of the production model has also been reduced. In terms of features, this bike will get LED taillights, a storage box, optional tubeless spokes, 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, single disc brakes on both ends with lean-angle-sensitive ABS, a large 6.5-inch TFT with smartphone connectivity, handguards, and adjustable hand levers.
Continuing its strong partnership with Indian bike manufacturing giant TVS Motor Company, the BMW F 450 GS will be produced in India. Once launched, it will rival the KTM 390 Adventure and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, along with others. BMW will also use the same new 450cc engine and launch a naked roadster and a sport-oriented bike in the future.
In addition to the new BMW 450cc bikes, its partner TVS Motor Company also recently confirmed that its new Apache will be powered by a 450cc engine. Most likely, it will be the same engine as the BMW bikes. Reportedly, this new motorcycle will be a fully-faired, high-performance supersport bike. This bike will be positioned as a spiritual successor to the RR310 but with twin-cylinder performance.
