Bollywood Actor Kunal Kemmu Takes KTM Adventure 390 To Umling La – World’s Highest Mountain Pass
Bollywood actor, director Kunal Kemmu is one of those actors who loves riding motorcycles. He is one of those actors who loves riding and is active on social media. He posts pictues and videos from his bike trips on his profile and in most cases he rides with his friends. When we talk about actors and their motorcycles, most of them own expensive adventure tourer bikes. However, Kunal Kemmu has now posted a bunch of pictures and videos where he is seen riding a KTM 390 Adventure. He along with his friends rode the bike to Umling La – World’s highest Motorable Pass.
Kunal Kemmu has posted several pictures and videos of the trip on his Instagram profile. We see Kunal Kemmu ride a KTM 390 dvenutre on the mountain roads. It looks like the actor flew to Leh and picked up a rental bike. It looks like all his friends also picked up the same bike. The Duke 390 Adventure is one of the good adventure tourer motorcycle in its range.
The group rode the bike through the extremely tricky stretch and reached Umling La Pass. Umling La or Umlung La is the highest paved road and mountain pass in the world, located in Ladakh, India, on the ridgeline between Koyul Lungpa and the Indus River near Demchok.
At an elevation of 19,024 feet (5,799 m), it forms the source for the Umlung stream that drains into the Indus and a tributary of the Kiungdul river that drains into Koyul Lungpa.
The bike they opted for this adventure trip is not bad. It is a decent bike for such adventure trips. However, there are a few things that are not so great with the Duke 390. The engine lacks low-end torque and that becomes a problem while you are riding through rough terrains. The engine is revv happy and that is not something you would want to do while riding in the mountains.
You would either have rely a lot on the clutch or else ride on a lower gear. This makes the riding the bike a lot more tricky than usual. Other than that, the KTM 390 Adventure is a great motorcycle. It comes with ample ground clearance and the dual-purpose tyres offer decent traction on loose tracks.
The motorcycle is powered by a 373-cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled, engine that generates 42.9 Bhp and 37 Nm of peak torque. The motorcycle comes with switchable ABS, fully adjustable WP APEX front suspension, mono-shock absorberat the rear, cornering ABS, 5 inch TFT colour display and so on.
Kunal Kemmu is an avid biker. Few years ago, he bought a brand new BMW R 1250 GS adventure tourer motorcycle. BMW R 1250 GS adventure tourer is powered by a 1245-cc, twin cylinder boxer engine that generates 134 Bhp at 7,750 rpm and 143 Nm of peak torque at 6250 rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
It is a powerful motorcycle and can easily touch 200 Kmph mark. Kunal Khemu had bought a Ducati Scrambler in 2018 and he even has a Harley Davidson Iron 883 in his garage. He was once seen riding a MV Augusta Brutale motorcycle without helmet in Mumbai.
