Girls Riding Twin-Cylinder Royal Enfield Motorcycles Is Cool, But... [Video]

In the last decade, the riding culture in India has grown significantly, and many international brands have entered our market with better and more value-for-money offerings. This has encouraged many young men and women to learn how to ride bikes. We have also seen an increase in the number of female riders. Many of these riders post videos of themselves with their bikes on social media. Here, we have one such video of three girls riding twin-cylinder Royal Enfields, but there is something wrong with it.

The video has been shared by Sai Varsha Yadav on Instagram. In this video, we see two girls sitting on Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650 motorcycles on the side of the road. They are waiting for their friend, who then arrives on an Interceptor 650. All these bikes are parked on the roadside.

In the next shot, the video shows all three girls riding the Royal Enfield twin-cylinder motorcycles on the road. They seem pretty confident with the bikes and are riding quite well. It looks like they have been riding these bikes for quite some time and are not afraid of pushing them hard if needed.

It is evident that the girls are riding these bikes to create viral content for the internet. The video does look good, but there is one thing these young riders forgot while riding.

What’s Wrong?

As seen in the video, the girls are definitely having fun on the road and are clearly posing for the video. However, none of them is wearing a riding helmet. They are riding the bikes on a public road, and riding any two-wheeler on a public road without a proper helmet is actually illegal.

We understand that the girls wanted to show their faces in the video to make it look more appealing and gain greater reach on social media. However, this is not a valid excuse to completely avoid wearing a helmet.

A riding helmet is a must-have piece of gear while riding a two-wheeler. In fact, it is one of the most important safety items. In case of an accident, a helmet can protect the rider from serious head injuries. If you love riding bikes, invest in riding jackets and safety gear like gloves, knee pads, and elbow pads. These protective items help minimize injuries in case of a crash.

This is not the first time we have seen a video like this on social media. Many youngsters use bikes and cars as props to create viral content. They often perform stunts on public roads, causing inconvenience to other road users. In Uttar Pradesh, traffic police have taken action against many such influencers in the past.

In this case, the girls were not performing stunts, but they were definitely violating traffic rules by not wearing helmets. If they wanted to ride a bike without helmets, they should have opted for a closed road or private property to avoid any legal issues. Hopefully, the concerned authorities will come across this video and take necessary action against the violators.
