Staying true to its commitment, the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM has now launched the Global-spec 390 Enduro in India. The new dual-sport motorcycle has been launched with a price tag of Rs 3.54 lakh (ex-showroom). What's more interesting is that KTM has not discontinued the India-spec 390 Enduro R. Rather, the new model will sit alongside the Indian model to offer buyers more options. The Global-spec 390 Enduro R is more geared towards experienced riders.

As mentioned above, the 2025 Global-spec KTM 390 Enduro R has been launched in India at Rs 3.54 lakh (ex-showroom). It will sit above the Indian-spec 390 Enduro R, which is currently available at a price of Rs 3.38 lakh. For those who may not do the calculation on their own, the difference is Rs 15,325.

Major differences between Global-spec and Indian-spec KTM 390 Enduro R

Starting off with the main differences between the Global and Indian-spec 390 Enduro R, the India-specific bike came with 200 mm front suspension travel, whereas the new international-spec model has 230 mm. As for rear suspension travel, the Indian model gets 205 mm, and the international one gets 230 mm.

Another major highlight of the Global-spec bike is that it gets 277 mm of ground clearance, which is more than the 253 mm offered with the Indian model. Coming to the difference between the seat height of the 390 Enduro R, the Global-spec bike has a height of 895 mm, while the Indian bike offers 860 mm.

Other differences include different tyres. The Indian 390 Enduro R gets Mitas Enduro Trail+. Meanwhile, the Global-spec gets Metzeler Karoo (21-inch front, 18-inch rear). The front suspension of the Indian-spec bike is a WP USD open cartridge, which is less adjustable. On the other hand, the Global-spec gets a WP USD open cartridge which is 43 mm and offers 30-step damping.

Moving to the rear, the Indian bike comes with less adjustability. Meanwhile, the Global-spec gets 20-step damping and an additional 10-step preload. Both bikes offer the same 9-litre fuel tank capacity and weigh equally at 177 kg. The bike also gets Slim TFT instrument console as well.

Now coming to another major component which has remained unchanged — it is the powerplant. The Global-spec KTM 390 Enduro R comes powered by the same 399 cc, single-cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine. It is capable of producing 45.37 bhp and 39 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed gearbox.

The bike also comes with assist and slipper clutch. Other highlights include quickshifter, traction control, and switchable ABS. The Indian-spec 390 Enduro R was launched in India after toning down the Global-spec model. It was highlighted that the Indian demographic tends to be shorter than Europeans. Also, the seat height was very tall for most Indian buyers. Now, today, if you are someone who is new to off-roading and want a light and lower bike, then you should opt for the Indian-spec 390 Enduro R.

Meanwhile, if you are an experienced off-roader and want performance in extreme terrain, you should opt for the Global-spec bike. Lastly, if you are okay with the taller seat height and more premium pricing, then you can opt for the Global-spec motorcycle.
