The popular Bollywood actress and Miss India fame Gul Panag recently test-drove the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. She shared a video of her riding the newest adventure motorcycle from Royal Enfield on her Instagram profile. The actress also took her son on the ride of the Himalayan 450. Both of them were given proper riding gear by Royal Enfield and were seen enjoying the ride on the new bike.

In the video, Gul Panag starts by stating and asking her son Nihal to repeat “Ki Ki So So Lhargyalo.” For those who may not be aware, this is the war cry of the Ladakh Scouts. It is an infantry regiment of the Indian Army. It has also been nicknamed the “Snow Warriors” or “Snow Leopards.”

Following this, Gul Panag starts riding the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. She can be seen completely kitted out in proper safety gear. Along with her, Nihal was also wearing a proper riding jacket and a very cute helmet. Both of these were provided by Royal Enfield, and Gul Panag thanked the Chennai-based bike maker for offering this.

Gul Panag can be seen riding the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 finished in Summit Kamet white shade. She is first seen crossing a metal bridge and then enjoying the ride through the lovely scenic roads. Her son was also seen enjoying this ride on the adventure motorcycle.

As mentioned, the bike being ridden by Gul Panag is the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. This is the brand’s newest adventure motorcycle, which has replaced the Himalayan 411. This motorcycle currently starts at Rs 2.85 lakh. As for the price of the more expensive variants, the Himalayan 450 Pass, Himalayan 450 Summit, and Himalayan 450 Hanle Black are priced at Rs 2.89 lakh, Rs 2.9 lakh, and Rs 2.98 lakh, respectively.

The Himalayan 450 comes powered by the brand’s first-ever liquid-cooled engine. This new engine is called Sherpa 452, and it is a 452cc single-cylinder, DOHC, 4-valve setup. In terms of power specifications, this semi-dry sump engine produces around 40 bhp at 8000 rpm and generates around 40 Nm of torque.

The new engine comes mated to a 6-speed wet clutch. It also offers slip and assist. The new Himalayan 452 also features ride-by-wire. Suspension duties on the new Himalayan 452 are handled by an upside-down fork suspension at the front.

As for the rear, it gets a monoshock suspension. The front wheel gets a total travel of an impressive 200 mm. And on the rear, it gets 200 mm of travel. In terms of features, it comes with all LED lights, a 4-inch round TFT display with phone connectivity, full map navigation, and media controls.
