Honda Activa-E Electric Scooter Starts Reaching Dealerships, Deliveries To Commence Next Week

Honda launched its first electric scooters for India- the Activa E and QC 1 at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. The base-spec Activa-e is priced at Rs 1.17 lakh and comes with revolutionary battery-swapping technology. It also has a higher-spec RoadSync Duo variant with an ex-showroom price of 1.52 lakh. The latest images reveal that the electric scooter has started reaching dealerships and hint at the deliveries starting soon. Bookings for the electric scooter are already underway.
The images show a Black Activa-e: being unloaded from a carrier at Honda dealership. The staff can be seen handling the scooter carefully. The Black colourway seems to look good on the Activa-e.
There are a total of five colours to choose from- Pearl Serenity Blue, Pearl Misty White, Matt Foggy Silver Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, and Pearl Shallow Blue. The images seem to be from a dealership in Karnataka ( most likely Bengaluru).
The scooter gets a minimalistic-yet-good looking design. The bodywork doesn't have any sharp cuts or pronounced creases. The LED headlight sits on the apron and LED DRLs on the handle bar. The tail lamps too are LED units. The wheels are 12-inch diamond-cut units and the front mud guard is rather short. The single piece seat gets a dual tone colourway and there is even a chunky grab rail at the rear.
In terms of features, the Activa-e ( RoadSync Duo) has a TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and call and SMS alerts. The vehicle also gets a few cubby holes and a USB charger for your smartphone. There is even a keyless functionality for its fob.
Interestingly, you cannot charge the Activa-e: at home. The scooter comes with battery swapping, which can be done through official Honda swapping centres. The manufacturer plans to set up these in more cities in the coming months.
The battery pack isn't a single-piece unit. Instead, it has a pair of 1.5kWh removable batteries. These can be swapped at the swapping stations. The combined range here is claimed to be 102 km. Since the batteries sit under the seat, the storage here is minimal. Honda Power Pack Energy India makes these.
The Activa e: is based on the same platform as the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) Activa. The pricing makes the Activa-e: compete with 110 cc internal combustion engine scooters.
The Activa e: is powered by a swingarm-mounted electric motor. It is capable of producing 6kW (8 bhp). The scooter does 0-60kmph acceleration in just 7.3 seconds. The top speed is 80 kph. There are three riding modes as well: Eco, Standard and Sport.
The Activa e: also comes with disc brakes at both ends. The front gets a 160 mm disc while the rear gets a 130 mm unit. The ground clearance here is 171 mm.
Honda plans to commence the deliveries of Activa e: in a phased manner. Initially, it will be available in 3 cities: Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. In the upcoming years, the electric scooter will be made available in more Indian cities.
You will be able to charge just the QC1 with a home charger. The Activa e: will need battery swapping. This means that the owner needs to have quick access to a swapping station for hassle-free life with the scooter.
Despite this, the Activa e: competes with the Ola S1, Ather 450X, Ather Rizta, TVS iQube, and others in the Indian market. India's electric two wheeler space is rapidly growing, with heightened competition. It remains to be seen if Honda would be able to set a strong foothold here with the Activa e:...
