Honda Unleashes CB750 Hornet And CB1000 Hornet SP Superbikes In India: Prices Start From Rs 8.59 Lakh

Honda has expanded its premium motorcycle lineup in India with the launch of two new streetfighters: the CB750 Hornet and the CB1000 Hornet SP. Priced at Rs 8.59 lakh and Rs 12.35 lakh respectively (ex-showroom), these bikes cater to enthusiasts seeking performance and advanced features.
The CB750 Hornet is powered by a 755cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine delivering 90.52bhp at 9,500rpm and 75Nm of torque at 7,250rpm. It features a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch for smoother gear transitions.
Design-wise, the bike boasts sharp bodywork with muscular tank shrouds and an all-LED lighting setup. It is available in two colours: Matte Pearl Glare White and Matte Ballistic Black Metallic.
The CB750 Hornet is equipped with a five-inch colour TFT display supporting Honda RoadSync app connectivity, Bluetooth-based navigation, call alerts, and media control.
Additional features include illuminated switchgear, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), emergency stop signal, and four riding modes: Sport, Standard, Rain, and User. Suspension duties are handled by a Showa SFF-BP upside-down fork at the front and a linked monoshock at the rear. Braking is managed by dual 296mm front discs and a 240mm rear disc, with dual-channel ABS as standard.
In the Indian market, the CB750 Hornet will go up against the likes of the Triumph Trident 660, Kawasaki Z650, and the Yamaha MT-07. While it is priced higher than some of its rivals, Honda is betting on its rich features, fresh design and strong brand legacy to pull buyers into its BigWing showrooms.
The CB1000 Hornet SP marks Honda’s entry into the litre-class street-naked segment in India, competing with models like the Kawasaki Z900 and Triumph Street Triple R and RS. It is powered by a 999cc, inline-four-cylinder engine producing 155bhp at 11,000rpm and 107Nm of torque at 9,000rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The bike features a steel frame suspended by a Showa SFF-BP fork and an Ohlins TTX36 monoshock. It rides on alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, and braking is handled by twin discs at the front and a single disc at the rear.
In terms of electronics, the CB1000 Hornet SP offers three preset ride modes, Rain, Standard, and Sport, and two customizable 'User' modes, allowing riders to adjust throttle response and traction control. It also comes with a five-inch colour TFT display, LED projector headlamp, and Bluetooth connectivity.
In its segment, the CB1000 Hornet SP will have to face tough competition from established players like the Triumph 765 RS, BMW F900R, Ducati Monster, and the more aggressively priced Kawasaki Z900. With a high-revving inline-four engine and premium suspension setup, Honda is aiming to attract seasoned riders looking for performance.
Both the CB750 Hornet and CB1000 Hornet SP are available across Honda's BigWing and BigWing Topline dealerships in India. Bookings are open, with deliveries for the CB750 Hornet set to commence from June 2025. With these launches, Honda aims to strengthen its presence in the super premium motorcycle segment in India, offering options for both mid-weight and litre-class enthusiasts.
