Cricket is one of the highest-paying sports in our country, and that is one of the reasons why many aspire to play for the nation. Many cricketers currently in the team have gone through significant struggles, and some come from very humble backgrounds. One such cricketer in the Indian cricket team is Rinku Singh. His family has faced numerous struggles and financial crises in the past. The Indian cricketer recently gifted a brand-new Kawasaki Ninja superbike to his father, and a video of him riding it to work has now gone viral on the internet.
The video was shared on Instagram by a user. In this video, we see an elderly gentleman riding a Kawasaki Ninja superbike through the narrow streets of a town in Uttar Pradesh. As the bike gets closer, you realize it is Rinku Singh’s father, Khanchandra Singh. Rinku Singh hails from Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh, and it appears his family continues to reside there.
Mr. Khanchandra Singh works at an LPG cylinder distribution agency in the area. As mentioned earlier, Rinku Singh comes from a very humble background, and even after being selected for the Indian cricket team, his father has not stopped working. He still goes to work, and the new bike was likely a gift to him so he can commute to work in style.
There are reports suggesting that Rinku’s family faced such severe financial crises in the past that his father once asked him to stop playing cricket and help with the family business. We are truly happy that Rinku pursued his dream, made it to the team, and is now able to support his family while following his passion.
The video shows him riding the green-colored Kawasaki Ninja through the streets of Aligarh and then slowly parking the brand-new bike at the LPG gas cylinder distribution office. The video was posted with the caption, “Fathersaab? proud moment. Rinku gifted a dream superbike to his father …❤️?.”
Most of the comments under the video are positive, appreciating the fact that Rinku gifted this bike to his father. Another video shows Rinku’s brother, Jeetu Singh, taking delivery of the bike along with his friends. The video was posted with the caption, “Big brother is the second-best ? Blessing after Father.”
The bike featured in the video is a Kawasaki Ninja 400 superbike. Kawasaki Ninjas are extremely popular among young riders in India. The ex-showroom price of the Kawasaki Ninja 400 is ₹4.99 lakh. The motorcycle was first introduced in 2018 and was later discontinued due to BS6 transitions.
The BS6 version of the motorcycle was launched in 2020. It is one of the most expensive motorcycles in its segment. The Kawasaki Ninja is a fully-faired supersport motorcycle powered by a 399-cc, parallel-twin engine. This engine generates 45 PS and 37 Nm of peak torque. The motorcycle features a semi-digital LCD instrument cluster, LED headlights, dual-channel ABS, assist and slipper clutch, and more.
The Ninja 400 uses a trellis frame, telescopic front forks, and a preload-adjustable monoshock for the rear. The Kawasaki Ninja competes with the likes of KTM RC 390 and TVS Apache RR 310 in its segment. Despite having a twin-cylinder engine, the Kawasaki is surprisingly not the heaviest in the segment.
