Kawasaki Offers Steep 1.5 Lakh Rupee Discounts On Ninja ZX-10R,1100 SX And Versys 1100 Ahead of GST Hike

Kawasaki has announced discounts of up to ₹1.50 lakh on its flagship models, the Ninja ZX-10R and the Ninja 1100SX, ahead of an upcoming GST revision that will significantly raise prices on larger-capacity motorcycles. The offers are valid until September 30, 2025, or until stocks run out, whichever comes first. These reductions represent a clear attempt by the company to clear inventory before the new tax structure comes into force later this month.
The Ninja 1100SX sport-tourer is available with a flat discount of ₹1 lakh. With its current ex-showroom price of ₹13.49 lakh, the revised pricing makes the 1,099cc four-cylinder motorcycle more accessible to riders seeking a long-distance touring option. The 1100SX produces 136 Bhp and 113 Nm of torque, and it has long stood out as one of the few dedicated sport-touring machines available in India.
A cousin of the Ninja SX1000, the Kawasaki Versys 1100 is an adventure tourer that uses the same engine as the former, with similar outputs of 133 BHP and 112 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, and now available at a discount of Rs. 1.1 lakh.
The most substantial benefits are reserved for Kawasaki’s superbike flagship, the Ninja ZX-10R. Discounts vary by colour scheme, with the Kawasaki Lime Green edition reduced by ₹1.30 lakh from its base price of ₹18.50 lakh. The Metallic Graphite Grey variant gets the steepest cut of ₹1.50 lakh, making it one of the most aggressive superbike deals seen in recent times.
The ZX-10R remains one of the most powerful road-legal superbikes in the Indian market, producing 213 hp and 114.9 Nm of torque from its 999cc inline-four engine. Its reputation as a track-ready machine is well established, and these discounts significantly lower the financial barrier for performance-focused buyers.
The offers are structured as cashback vouchers that directly reduce the ex-showroom price. Unlike some seasonal campaigns, they do not include exchange bonuses, loyalty rewards, or extended warranty packages. Instead, Kawasaki has opted for a simple and transparent price cut that prioritises quick decision-making for interested customers.
The urgency behind Kawasaki’s discount strategy comes from the GST restructuring due to be implemented from September 22. Under the revised system, motorcycles above 350cc will be taxed at a flat 40 percent, up from the current 28 percent. This adjustment will significantly increase prices across Kawasaki’s larger-displacement portfolio.
Only smaller-capacity motorcycles such as the W175, KLX230, Ninja 300, and Versys-X 300 stand to benefit from reduced GST rates, which drop to 18 percent for two-wheelers under 350cc. For premium models like the Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja 1100SX, the revised tax rules mean buyers face steeper prices if they delay purchase until after the change.
By offering large discounts now, Kawasaki is not only incentivising buyers but also clearing stock at current pricing levels before the inevitable rise. This approach creates a limited-time opportunity for enthusiasts to acquire high-performance machines at significantly lower prices.
The two models under discount serve very different purposes within Kawasaki’s lineup. The Ninja 1100SX appeals to touring riders who want a mix of comfort and performance for long-distance rides, a niche but growing segment in India. The ZX-10R, on the other hand, is aimed squarely at superbike buyers and track-day enthusiasts looking for outright performance.
With reductions of up to ₹1.50 lakh, Kawasaki has temporarily narrowed the price gap between its motorcycles and rival offerings from other premium brands. For many buyers, these reductions could bring aspirational bikes within reach, particularly at a time when affordability remains a central factor in premium motorcycle purchases.
