Kinetic DX scooter was an iconic model in the Indian two-wheeler market. We are sure many of you who are reading this story would have seen it on the road. It was a popular model among youngsters during that time. You may already know that the Kinetic DX is making a comeback in the Indian market as an EV. Well, just before its official launch, Kinetic Green has now released a new teaser video of the upcoming scooter.
The video has been released by Kinetic Green on their Instagram page. In this teaser video, we are shown the iconic red-coloured starter button which was seen on the original Kinetic DX. The red-coloured start button is shown in one of the teasers. In other teaser videos on the profile, it shows an LED DRL designed to look like the Kinetic logo.
Kinetic Green’s upcoming electric scooter, the Kinetic DX, has been spotted testing on several occasions, and we have an idea of what the scooter might look like. The design of the electric scooter is going to be inspired by the original Kinetic Honda scooter.
The apron, fender, and side panel designs along with the complete silhouette remind us of the iconic Kinetic DX from the 80s. Kinetic Green is going for a neo-retro look, which means it would come with a retro-looking overall design with modern-day features.
The headlamps and other lights on this scooter are going to be LEDs. Similarly, it would also come with a small flyscreen, which was offered with the original scooter. We also expect to see features like a touchscreen instrument cluster, which offers a host of functions including Bluetooth and navigation. We also expect ride modes.
Even the wheels on the upcoming Kinetic DX electric scooter are going to draw inspiration from the original scooter. In several spy pictures that we have seen in the past, it is clear that the scooter will get a three-spoke wheel design. They also have a teaser on the same page that gives us a glimpse of the triple air vents towards the rear.
Kinetic Green’s upcoming electric scooter is going to be positioned as a family scooter, where it will compete with the likes of Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, Ather Rizta, and so on. Kinetic Green has not shared any details regarding the technical specifications of the Kinetic DX EV, but it is expected to come with LFP batteries.
We have realised from the spy pictures available online that the scooter will get disc brakes at the front, telescopic front forks, and dual rear shocks. The scooter is likely to come with a hub-mounted motor and is expected to offer a claimed range of at least 100 km.
Coming to the launch, Kinetic Green will be officially launching this new electric scooter on 28th July in India. The electric scooter is likely to be priced around Rs 1 lakh. For more details about this upcoming electric scooter, keep an eye on our website and also on our social media handles.
