As the name suggest, this is an enduro motorcycle based on KTM 390 Adventure. The Enduro version of the bike is actually more off-road focussed and that is quite evident from the way it looks. It will cater to the needs of the riders who are looking for an off-road focussed motorcycle.

The motorcycle gets a design inspired from its bigger brother KTM 690 Enduro R. The motorcycle offers an aggressive handle bar shape, upright seating position and a long seat for easy on-bike mobility.

The KTM 390 Enduro R is based on a 2-piece construction composed of a steel trellis main frame and a pressure die-cast aluminum subframe. The frame design is not only designed for overall looks but also to enhance vehicle dynamics by augmenting torsional rigidity, improved agility, and enhanced feedback from the chassis on both tarmac and dirt tracks.

As this is meant for the trails or off-road section, KTM has made certain changes to the overall design. The motorcycles now uses fewer body panels which are prone to get damaged and this also helped KTM in bringing down the weight of the motorcycle.

The kerb weight of the KTM 390 Enduro R is around 177 kg which offers a great power to weight ratio to this motorcycle. Apart from this KTM is offering 200 mm suspension travel at the front and 205 for the rear on the Enduro R sold in India.

The international version which will be exported from India will offer more. The ground clearance of the motorcycle has come down to 253 mm from 272 mm and the seat height for the 390 Enduro R is 860 mm.

The bike gets switchable dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle gets 4.1 inch colour TFT display which will show all important information to the rider. This display supports Bluetooth connectivity and will offer turn by turn navigation, music controls, app connectivity and many more.

As this is a motorcycle meant for off-roading KTM has ensured that the motorcycle gets adjustable suspension, brakes, clutch levers and footrests. This way anyone who wants to ride the motorcycle can adjust these to a setting suitable for their riding style. KTM is also offering a variety of performance and cosmetic add-ons as accessories.
