This Man Does Not Wear A Helmet And Police Don’t Fine Him: Here’s Why

A number of people in India ride their two-wheelers without wearing proper helmets. Most people who violate the rules by not wearing helmets do this intentionally. However, what if we told you that there is a man who wants to wear a helmet for his head’s protection but literally cannot wear one? You’d say, what are we talking about, and how is this possible? Well, we have come across a video online in which a man cannot wear a helmet because his head is too big, and there is nothing that can be done to help him.
This video explaining the situation of this particular man has been shared on Instagram by VP Facts Shorts on their page. In this short video, the narrator explains that there is a man named Zakir Memon who hails from the city of Chhota Udepur in Gujarat and cannot wear a helmet. He adds that even after going in front of the police authorities without a helmet, he cannot be fined.
Well, the answer to this man’s issue is that his head is too big to fit inside any helmet sold in India. Yes, as weird as it may sound, there is no helmet that fits this man. The narrator in the video has highlighted that Zakir Memon has been stopped by police authorities on multiple occasions for not wearing a helmet.
However, when he tells them his problem is that he cannot wear a helmet, they have to let him go. On a few occasions, the police officials have even taken him to a helmet shop to check if he is telling the truth or not. But when they reach the shop and find that there is really no helmet that can fit on his head, they simply let him go.
Gujarat Police has even mentioned that the problem Memon is facing is real. They cannot fine him until there is a solution. So, due to this issue, Zakir Memon can ride around the city of Chhota Udepur on his Royal Enfield motorcycle without any helmet.
Many people are wondering if there is any solution where this man can wear a helmet. The answer to this is that, at the moment, there is nothing that Zakir Memon or Gujarat Police can do to help him. The only way he can wear a helmet is if a helmet manufacturer volunteers to create a custom helmet for the dimensions of his head. Apart from this, there is no other solution.
The case of Zakir Memon is an exception, and he cannot wear a helmet because of something he cannot change. However, there are numerous people who do not wear a helmet daily by choice. To these people, we request that you please wear a helmet, as it is extremely important. It can save your life in case of a serious accident.
According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, over 37 percent of fatalities on Indian roads involve two-wheeler riders. It has also been highlighted that wearing helmets can reduce the risk of death by 42 percent, and it also reduces the risk of serious head injuries by 69 percent. We all know that the head is the most critical body part of a person. So, make sure that you wear a helmet every time you ride a two-wheeler.
