Most recently, however, a video of him riding a Yamaha FZ-16 motorcycle without a helmet has gone viral on the internet. In this short clip, captioned “Our Captain Cool is coming back,” Dhoni is shown riding the Yamaha FZ-16 motorcycle on a highway. Now, a lot of people who have seen this video have become very confused as to why Dhoni is riding a bike without a helmet.
Well, the reality is that it is not actually Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Rather, it is his lookalike, and his name is Rishabh Malakar from Indore, Madhya Pradesh. In his profile, he has shared numerous videos of him wearing Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings jersey and acting like MS Dhoni. He makes various skits which are meant for entertainment purposes.
A number of people who have not seen this video carefully have said that Dhoni should not be promoting riding without safety gear like a helmet. However, it has to be noted that Dhoni is an avid motorcycle enthusiast, and he is very cautious while riding motorcycles on public roads. Whenever he is spotted in Ranchi, he is seen wearing a proper helmet.
He is also seen wearing his riding suit, boots, and other gear when he is riding his more modern and fast bikes. For those who may not be aware, MS Dhoni owns several high-end bikes like the Kawasaki Ninja H2, Confederate X132 Hellcat, Ducati 1098, Harley Davidson Fat Boy, Norton Commando 961, and many others.
Apart from these, he has one of the largest collections of vintage bikes. These include the likes of multiple different generations and iterations of the Yamaha RD350. Recently, Dhoni was also gifted a personalized Jawa 42 motorcycle. This particular bike was finished in a unique shade of custom bottle-green paint. It also had a customised leather seat and yellow-tinted headlight. This bike was gifted to him by Skipper Pipes, a company specialising in polymer pipes and fittings. The company also announced MS Dhoni and Chris Gayle as its brand ambassadors.
As we all know, MS Dhoni is also the brand ambassador for the French automaker Citroen, and recently the company launched the all-new Dark Edition models of the Basalt, C3, and Aircross. As a result of this partnership, Dhoni was also recently gifted a Basalt Dark Edition. The former Indian cricket team captain was seen being handed over the keys to his new car.
