First Ola Electric Motorcycle To Be The Roadster: Bhavish Aggarwal Seen Riding One In New Teaser

Over the last few months, Ola Electric has shared a number of renderings and concepts of its upcoming range of electric bikes. Now, however, Bhavish Aggarwal, the CEO of Ola Electric, has recently shared a teaser video of him riding one of these bikes. This three-second clip showcases Aggarwal taking a test ride on the brand’s first electric motorcycle. Most likely, the bike in the teaser is the Ola Electric Roadster as it is the most practical bike from the lineup. It will also most likely be the first bike to be launched next year in 2025, as stated by Bhavish Aggarwal.
Apart from sharing the teaser on X, Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has made a significant announcement. During a recent press briefing in Mumbai, Aggarwal revealed that the company’s inaugural all-electric motorcycle is set to debut in India in 2025.
This announcement was made along with the discussions about Ola’s upcoming IPO scheduled for August 2nd. Aggarwal emphasized that the first electric motorcycle will be available within the first half of 2025.
He added that more detailed information will be unveiled at an event on August 15th. He also mentioned that these new motorcycles would feature Ola-developed batteries. He highlighted that these are among the largest batteries seen in Indian electric motorcycles.
As mentioned above, most likely the bike shown in the teaser and the bike that will be coming first will be the Ola Electric Roadster. It is the most practical and developed concept, and when the concepts were shown last year, it was the only bike driven to the teaser presentation venue.
The Ola Electric Roadster has been designed for everyday use. This bike features a deconstructed design that sets it apart from other internal combustion engine (ICE) naked street fighters available in India.
The Roadster boasts sporty bodywork with flat panels and multiple crease lines. This provides the bike with a very sleek and aggressive look. The rear subframe has also been neatly executed with hollow elements that enhance its aesthetic appeal.
The motorcycle will come equipped with a telescopic fork and a monoshock suspension system. It also features 17-inch alloy wheels with wide, grippy tyres, making it well-suited for various riding conditions.
In terms of braking, the Roadster will come equipped with a dual-disc front brake setup and a single-disc rear brake. Additionally, it will be a chain-driven model and also include a split seat setup.
One of the standout features of the Roadster will be its 5-inch display with mobile phone connectivity. This display will likely be standard across Ola’s electric motorcycle range. According to the company, the Roadster has been designed to meet the needs of everyday riders, making it a versatile option for urban commuting.
Its riding position, with a high handlebar and well-placed footpegs, suggests a sporty rider’s triangle which will be comfortable as well. According to Aggarwal, the Roadster, along with other models in Ola’s lineup, will feature in-house designed EV batteries.
These batteries are expected to be among the largest used in Indian electric motorcycles, as stated by him. At the moment, the exact powertrain specifications of the Ola Electric Roadster or the other bikes have not been revealed. However, the bike is likely to sit between Ola’s commuter motorcycle and a sports bike and will compete with models like the Matter Aera and the Tork Kratos R.
