Finally, after much delay, the deliveries of the highly anticipated Ola Electric Roadster X, the company's first electric motorcycle, have begun in India. Recently, it has been reported that the company has started delivering the Roadster X to its awaiting customers, and the first 5,000 customers will receive benefits worth Rs 10,000. The Ola Electric Roadster X starts at Rs 99,999 and goes all the way up to Rs 1,24,999. The Roadster X+ starts at Rs 1,29,999 and goes up to Rs 1,99,999.

Ola Electric Roadster X deliveries commence

Ola Electric was set to commence the deliveries of the Roadster X back at the end of April of this year. However, it was reported that the company had not homologated the vehicle with the Indian authorities. Hence, the deliveries were delayed. The company now has received pending homologation approval from the authorities, and it has now started delivering the bikes.

As mentioned, the company is offering the first 5,000 owners of the Ola Electric Roadster X benefits worth Rs 10,000. These benefits include extended warranty, MoveOS+, and essential care. According to the company, these benefits are part of the brand's Ride The Future campaign. Images of the actual deliveries of the Roadster X will be shared in the upcoming hours.

The Ola Electric Roadster X, as stated, is the first electric motorcycle launched by the brand. When it was officially launched in February of this year, the pricing started at Rs 89,999 for the 2.5 kWh variant, Rs 99,999 for the 3.5 kWh, and Rs 1,09,999 for the 4.5 kWh battery pack variant.

However, the introductory pricing has now ended, and it is now priced at Rs 99,999 (2.5 kWh), Rs 1,09,999 (3.5 kWh), and Rs 1,24,999 (4.5 kWh). In addition to the standard Roadster X model, the company also launched the Roadster X+ as well. The Roadster X+ with the 4.5 kWh battery pack is priced at Rs 1,29,000, and the one with the 9.1 kWh battery pack is priced at Rs 1,99,999.

The Ola Roadster X, in terms of design, boasts a naked streetfighter style with slim body panels and futuristic styling. It gets sleek LED headlights with integrated LED DRLs, and it also comes with ergonomic handlebar positioning. The bike also comes with a single-piece seat with a chunky grab handle at the rear.

Powering the Ola Electric Roadster X is a 7 kW generating electric motor, which can achieve a top speed of 118 kmph. It can do a sprint of 0–40 kmph in just 3.1 seconds. There will be three battery pack options – 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, and 4.5 kWh. Its IDC-certified range for the top-spec 3.5 kWh variant is 252 km on a single full charge.

As for the Roadster X+, it comes powered by a more powerful 11 kW motor, which takes it from 0–40 kmph in just 2.7 seconds. Its largest 9.1 kWh battery pack offers it a 501 km IDC-certified range. This particular motorcycle’s battery pack uses Ola Electric’s in-house developed Bharat 4680 cells.
