Ola Roadster X Electric Motorcycle Has 'Stopped Charging', Say Upset Owner [Video]

Ola Electric, which is the country's largest electric two-wheeler manufacturer, commenced the deliveries of its first electric motorcycles, the Roadster and Roadster X, in May. Since then, a number of people have taken delivery of their bikes, and like any new Ola Electric product, the company is now getting tagged by buyers who are facing multiple issues. Recently, an owner of a Roadster X+ shared a video online in which he shows that this newly bought motorcycle is not charging.
This video talking about the Ola Electric Roadster X+ with a charging issue has been shared on YouTube by Kamal on their channel. In this short video, the owner mentions that he booked the Roadster X+ 4.5 kWh variant on 7th March this year. He then recently received his bike and has only managed to cover 109 km.
The owner then mentions that the issue he is facing is that his bike is not charging. In the short clip, he shows removing the seat of the motorcycle to show the in-built charger. He then takes the wires and plugs them into the switchboard and turns on the button. The owner then highlights that the light on the charger is turning on.
However, his bike's instrument cluster is showing that the vehicle is not charging. As per the owner, he has already called the customer service of Ola Electric. He has stated that the customer service representatives on the phone have told him to take the scooter to the dealership. And when he took it to get checked at the dealership, they told him that they wouldn't be able to fix the vehicle at the moment.
A number of people in the comments section of the video pointed out that they also faced similar problems with their bikes. However, their issues were fixed after trying out a few things. Some users reported that they have to attempt charging 4–5 times before it starts working. Another user highlighted that the voltage needs to be in the range of 190V to 220V for the charger to work properly.
Apart from these, another person recommended that the owner should add a 16A switch or try plugging the charger into sockets with stable and sufficient voltage. Some suggestions also stated that the owner should try to plug in his charger in any of his neighbour's houses to ensure that the issue is with the vehicle and not the charger.
One of the most unique solutions was given by a user, under which he guided the owner to first turn on water to stabilize the circuit before plugging the charger. The owner, however, has replied to a few comments and has stated that he has tried all of the things and has taken the bike to the dealership as well. However, he has still not found any solution to the problem.
In the same comment section, a few users have mentioned that they have faced even bigger issues. One of the commenters has stated that his bike shows a motor fault and battery percentage drop. Another one added that he received a faulty charger, and when he complained, the showroom stopped responding.
