Finally, after months of anticipation, the country’s largest electric two-wheeler manufacturer, Ola Electric, has launched its first-ever EV motorcycle series. Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal took the covers off the three bikes from the Roadster Series. These bikes—Ola Electric Roadster X, Roadster, and Roadster Pro—have been launched with a starting price of Rs 74,999, going up to Rs 2.49 lakh (introductory pricing). Additionally, the company has commenced bookings for all three motorcycles.

Ola Electric Roadster Series: Details
Roadster X
First off, let’s talk about the most affordable entry-level electric motorcycle from the brand: the Roadster X. This sleek and sporty-looking bike will take on the popular commuter motorcycles in the country. In terms of design, this motorcycle looks very futuristic with its sharp front fascia and body lines.
The portion where an ICE engine is normally placed on a bike features a closed-off panel that hides the Roadster X’s battery pack. It also gets an almost plain single-piece seat, and the charging port is located where the traditional fuel filler cap would be. The bike features telescopic front suspension at the front and dual shocks at the rear.

The all-new Roadster X gets an 11 kW electric motor and comes with three battery pack options. The first is a 2.5 kWh, the second is a 3.5 kWh, and lastly, there is a 4.5 kWh battery pack. According to the company, the Roadster X can do a sprint from 0 to 40 kmph in 2.8 seconds (4.5 kWh variant). It also offers a maximum speed of 124 kmph and a range of 200 km in the top-of-the-line 4.5 kWh variant.
Stopping the bike is a Combi Braking System (CBS) with disc brakes at the front, featuring brake-by-wire technology. The motorcycle also features Sports, Normal, and Eco riding modes. As for the tech, this motorcycle features a 4.3-inch LCD segment display powered by MoveOS 5.
The Roadster X also offers a wide range of features, such as Ola Maps Navigation (Turn by Turn), advanced regen, cruise control, Riding Modes, DIY Mode, TPMS alerts, OTA updates, and more. The motorcycle also comes with a Digital Key Unlock and Ola Electric App connectivity.
The Roadster X pricing starts at Rs 74,999 for the 2.5 kWh variant, and the 3.5 kWh and 4.5 kWh variants are priced at Rs 84,999 and Rs 99,999, respectively. As announced, deliveries of this bike will commence from January onwards.
Roadster

Next up in the lineup is the Roadster. It is a sportier iteration of the Roadster X commuter motorcycle. It will be powered by a 13 kW electric motor. It is also offered with 3.5 kWh, 4.5 kWh, and 6 kWh battery variants. The top-of-the-line variant offers a best-in-segment range of 248 km.
Ola Electric is also offering this bike with four different riding modes—Hyper, Sports, Normal, and Eco. As for the technology, it will also come with MoveOS 5 and a segment-first 6.8-inch TFT touchscreen. Its premium features include proximity unlock, cruise control, party mode, and tamper alert.
It will also feature AI-powered technology such as Krutrim Assistant, smartwatch app, and a road trip planner. This motorcycle will also have disc brakes at the front and rear, supported by advanced single-channel ABS with sophisticated cornering ABS and brake-by-wire technology.
As for the pricing of this model, the 3.5 kWh variant is priced at Rs 1.05 lakh. Meanwhile, the 4.5 kWh and 6 kWh battery pack options are priced at Rs 1.19 lakh and Rs 1.39 lakh, respectively. Deliveries will commence in Q4 of FY2025.
Roadster Pro

Last but not least, the Roadster Series is rounded off by the Roadster Pro model. This particular bike is for performance enthusiasts. It is the most aggressive and bold of the three models. It will be powered by an electric motor capable of producing 52 kW and 105 Nm of torque.
What’s more interesting is that there will be an even more powerful 16 kWh variant. This particular motorcycle will accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in just 1.2 seconds and from 0 to 60 kmph in 1.9 seconds, offering a top speed of 194 kmph. The 16 kWh battery pack variant offers an IDC-certified range of 579 km.
The Roadster Pro, being the most expensive model, will feature a 10-inch TFT touchscreen, USD (upside-down) forks, and two-channel switchable ABS with disc brakes at the front and rear. It also gets four riding modes (Hyper, Sport, Normal, and Eco) and two DIY modes.
Following the rollout of the MoveOS 5 update, the Roadster Pro will offer best-in-class digital tech features including ADAS, three-level traction control, integrated ride modes (Race, Urban, Rain & Off-road). It will also offer access controls, including geofencing, timefencing, and modefencing, along with a ton of other features.
This particular bike is priced at Rs 1.99 lakh and Rs 2.49 lakh for the 8 kWh and 16 kWh variants, respectively. Deliveries will commence from Diwali next year.
