However, Ola has now released an official video where they have announced that they are starting the with the deliveries of the Ola Roadster X bike from Friday this week, which is 23rd May, 2025.
Unlike the previous models, Ola electric with their Roadster X motorcycle is likely to go with a different strategy. Instead of making it available to customer across the country at the same time, Ola is likely to do the deliveries in phases.
During the initial phase, the electric bike will be offered to customers from Bengaluru. By going with this issue strategy, Ola can actually monitor potential issues in the bike which is likely to come up in the early or initial batch products.
This is actually an easier way for them to address the issues and also ensure customer satisfaction which is a major area where Ola has to do a lot of work.
Coming to the Ola Roadster X, this is the first ever electric motorcycle from Indian EV brand. It is actually a commuter segment motorcycle which is expected to rival with the 100-125cc segment motorcycles in the market. The Ola Roadster X is available with 2.5kWh, 3.5kWh, and 4.5kWh battery pack options. The motorcycle comes with a 11 kW electric motor and depending on the battery pack options, the riding range of the bike goes all the way from 117 km to 250 km.
Just like the electric scooter that Ola offers in the market, the all-new Roadster X motorcycle also gets riding modes like Sport, Normal, Eco. The bike also comes with tyre pressure monitoring system, 4.3-inch LCD, and full-LED lighting. It would also get single-channel ABS, brake-by-wire, and a reverse feature.
Roadster X will be available in five colors, namely Ceramic White, Pine Green, Industrial Silver, Stellar Blue, and Anthracite. The brand after the launch had informed that they have been getting response from the customers for the new bike and there was bit of a controversy where Ola actually added the booking numbers of the Roadster X in the total sales for the month of February.
This was later caught by the regulatory authority and Ola was asked to produce the correct numbers and clarification for the same. The Ola Roadster X will compete with electric motorcycles like Revolt RV00 and Oben Rorr in the segment.
Ola is using a lot of new tech that they have claimed that they have developed inhouse. Hopefully, the customers who buy the Roadster X motorcycle have a smooth experience and do not face any major issues like in the past. Price for a brand new Ola Roadster X motorcycle startes at Rs 84,999 and goes all the way till Rs 1.24 lakh, ex-showroom.
