After a long wait, Ola Electric has finally started delivering their all-new electric motorcycle, the Roadster X, to customers. Apart from deliveries, the electric bike has also started reaching dealerships or experience centers for test rides. Several videos related to the Ola Roadster X have started surfacing online as well. Here, we have a new video where an Ola Roadster X owner is seen testing the top speed of his motorcycle in different modes on a public road.

The video has been shared by Utkarsh Gupta on his YouTube channel. In this video, the Ola Roadster X owner from Bhopal tries to test the top speed of his electric bike in different modes. He starts the bike in Eco mode. In Eco mode, the top speed of the Roadster X is limited to 42 km/h. He is riding with a pillion who is actually recording the video.

The bike managed to reach the top speed in Eco mode pretty quickly. Soon after that, the rider stopped and switched to Normal mode. In this mode, the rider found it difficult to reach the top speed as he was riding on a public road with traffic.

After several trial runs, he managed to reach the top speed in Normal mode, which is 81 km/h. After this, he switched the bike into Sport mode and tried to achieve the top speed. Due to heavy traffic, he initially failed.

Then he took the bike to a road that leads to the airport. This stretch was probably relatively empty, and he managed to reach the 97 km/h mark on the Roadster X.

He was very happy with the performance, but he mentioned that he was not very confident as the bike felt too light and there were rattling noises coming from it. The bike seen here is the 2.5 kWh version, which is the entry-level variant of the Roadster X. The Roadster X 2.5 kWh generates 9 Ps and has a top speed on 105 kmph. The reason why we feel it couldn't touch that was probably because the rider was not alone and had a pillion with him for the tests.

The owner also mentioned that the braking on the bike didn’t feel great as they are drum units and not disc brakes.

After testing the top speed, he took the bike to a road that goes uphill to a temple in his area. He rode the bike with two pillions on the steep incline. Initially, the bike was ridden in Eco mode, and after a point, the gradient was too steep for the bike to climb in Eco mode. He then switched to Normal mode, and the bike surprisingly climbed to the top without any difficulties.

The owner was surprised that the bike managed to do it without any issues, and that too with three people on it. The bike used around 4 percent charge to climb up, as per the rider. He also brought the bike down with the same number of people on it.

He used regenerative braking and felt that he was getting used to the bike’s braking. While we understand that the rider was testing his bike, that doesn’t mean he can break traffic rules.

He was riding on a public road at high speeds, and doing such things is considered a stunt. The concerned authorities can take action against the rider if needed. He was also seen riding triple on the bike, that too on a steep incline. This is again dangerous, as he could get injured in case of an accident.
