Royal Enfield Classic 650: Image Gallery

After a long wait, Indian motorcycle manufacturer Royal Enfield launched the much awaited Classic 650 in the Indian market. The motorcycle is launched at a starting price of Rs 3.37 lakh and the prices go up to Rs 3.50 lakh, ex-showroom. Royal Enfield has officially started accepting bookings for the Classic 650 and deliveries will begin by April. Here’s a quick image gallery of the all-new Classic 650 motorcycle.
The design of the Royal Enfield Classic 650 is in fact inspired by the original Classic 350 motorcycle. The retro classic design of the motorcycle actually looks good on this motorcycle.
The headlamps on the Classic 650 retain the circular design with chrome rings around it. However the headlight itself is an LED unit with Tiger lights
The use of chrome is very evident on the bike and this is done intentionally to retain the classic identity of the motorcycle.
We see use of chrome on places like the handle bar, exhaust, engine covers and even the wheel hub.
The switchgear on the Classic 650 is also given a chrome treatment. While it may look retro it comes with aluminium switch gears, rotary knobs and USB charging port.
The instrument cluster on this motorcycle is similar to what we have seen in the current generation Classic 350 and it also gets the Tripper navigation unit next to it.
The Classic 650 motorcycle also gets chrome finished ORVMs for the retro appeal.
One of the major attraction of the design is the signature tear drop design of the fuel tank. This tank has a capacity of 14.7 litres.
Just like the original Classic, the Classic 650 is also available with single and double seat options. In fact, the pillion seat and subframe is easily removable in the Classic 650.
The motorcycle comes with 43 mm telescopic fork at the front and the rear gets twin shockers too.
As this is a 650 cc motorcycle, Royal Enfield is offering the twin exhaust setup and that definitely adds to the bulk of the motorcycle.
The Classic 650 is available in four colour options, namely: Bruntingthorpe Blue Vallam Red, Teal, and Black Chrome.
Classic 650 runs on 19 inch wheels at the front and rear get 18 inch units. These spoked wheels with tubed tyres. The tyre is developed by MRF specifically for this model. Royal Enfield is currently working on tubeless wire spoke rims which will make lives of the riders much easier on the road.
The Chassis on the Classic 650 is the same as the Shotgun 650.
The engine on the Classic 650 is the same 648-cc, twin-cylinder unit which is used in other 650-cc motorcycles from Royal Enfield.
The engine generates 47 Bhp and 52 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper and assist clutch.
Classic 650 weighs around 243 kgs and it is currently the heaviest Royal Enfield motorcycle available on sale in the market.
The motorcycle comes with disc brakes at the front and rear.
As usual Royal Enfield is also offering official accessories with the Classic 650.
