Royal Enfield is known to be working on a higher-capacity Himalayan. Recently, the company made an official confirmation that this motorcycle will come with a 750cc parallel-twin engine. The bike has now been revealed almost completely in a leaked image that was shared on the Instagram handle ‘Motoretro’. The post also mentions that the Himalayan 750 will make its debut at the EICMA 2025, in November this year.

The Leaked Image

The image shared on the handle shows the parallel-twin Himalayan’s production form, finished in a Sandstorm shade. The overall design seems interesting. It is, in fact, a notable departure from the outgoing Himalayan 450 on the styling front. The leaked image shows the motorcycle to have spoke wheels. In one of the previous spy shots, we saw it with five-spoke alloy wheels.

The bike here seems to have a 19-inch wheel at the front and a 17-inch unit at the rear. From the image, these seem to be more road-oriented. The 450, on the other hand, gets a 21-inch front wheel. In the images put out by Royal Enfield previously, the 750cc motorcycle was seen with 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels. This points to the possibility of both options being offered on the bike.

The fuel tank is larger and more muscular. It is expected to have a capacity of 17 or 18 liters. This will make it better for long-distance touring. We can also see a large windscreen, new trapezoidal mirrors, and a half-fairing. The design of the fairing could remind you of the Husqvarna Norden 901.

In the caption, the Instagrammer mentions that the motorcycle will be showcased at EICMA this year and could even launch in India in March 2026. The bike could have an ex-showroom price of around Rs 4.5 lakh. This will allow it to take an appealing position in the market.

The bigger Himalayan will come with a TFT digital instrument cluster, similar to the one on the Himalayan 450. It is also expected to be equipped with features like traction control, cruise control, and selectable ride modes.

Powertrain Specifications

The motorcycle will come with a newly developed 750cc air-oil cooled engine. Most of the other players in this segment have moved to liquid cooling. Royal Enfield has, however, stuck to air-oil cooling as it keeps manufacturing costs lower and simplifies maintenance during the ownership journey.

It will be an improved version of the 650cc parallel-twin used on models like the Interceptor, Continental GT, Classic 650, Super Meteor, and the Bear. The 650cc unit produces up to 47hp and 56.5 Nm on these. Output figures of the Himalayan 750 are likely to be in the range of 50-55 hp and 60 Nm, thanks to the larger bore and stroke.

It will then become the most powerful product in the manufacturer’s portfolio. 55hp/60Nm may not be the best in its segment, but will ensure that the real-world performance remains enjoyable. Underpinning the bigger Himalayan will be a reworked version of the 650 platform.

On the mechanical front, the Himalayan 750 will come with adjustable USD (upside-down) forks at the front and a rear mono-shock. Expected to deliver impressive comfort and dynamics, this setup can be seen in the leaked image as well. The motorcycle will also have disc brakes at both ends. The front end will have dual discs.

The Road Ahead

Royal Enfield Himalayan has already established itself as a prominent player in the adventure touring space. It is now available with just a 450cc engine alone. The 750cc model will likely bank on the nameplate’s present acceptance and the powertrain’s might to generate sales and rise to commercial success.
