Four New Paint Jobs, Same Sticker Price

Suzuki Motorcycle India has updated the V-Strom SX with four fresh colour schemes while keeping the price at Rs 1.98 lakh ex-showroom. Two are all new dual tones - Pearl Fresh Blue with Glass Sparkle Black, and Pearl Glacier White with Metallic Mat Stellar Blue. The white and blue option gives the bike a cleaner, premium look. The blue and black combo is the bolder choice for riders who want a standout finish.

Existing shades get revised graphics. Champion Yellow No. 2 with Glass Sparkle Black adopts sportier decals that echo the larger V-Strom 800 DE, keeping a family look across Suzuki’s adventure range.

Glass Sparkle Black stays subtle but gains new side panel textures and refreshed stickers for a neater, more modern appearance. The overall effect is a sharper visual identity without changing the core motorcycle.

Same 249 cc Heart, Tour-Ready Manners

There are no mechanical changes. The bike continues with the 249 cc, single cylinder, oil cooled engine from the Gixxer 250 platform. It makes 26.5 hp at 9,300 rpm and 22.2 Nm at 7,300 rpm, paired with a six speed gearbox. Power delivery remains smooth and friendly for daily use and light touring.

Under the skin, hardware remains the same. The SX uses telescopic forks at the front and a rear monoshock, with dual channel ABS handling braking safety. Wheel sizes stay at 19 inches up front and 17 inches at the rear, a mix that balances city stability with mild trail work.

Ground clearance is 205 mm, which is enough for broken roads and light trails. The limiting factor is the 120 mm front suspension travel, so riders planning rough routes should keep expectations in check.

The feature list stays current for the segment. A Bluetooth enabled digital cluster supports turn by turn navigation, call alerts, and messages. A USB charger sits up front for powering phones on the go. LED headlamp and tail lamp improve visibility and efficiency. A sturdy rear rack continues to support soft bags or a top box, which suits the touring brief.

Ride, Learn, Repeat: Delhi–Ladakh Expedition

To mark the colour refresh, Suzuki has rolled out its first V-Strom Expedition, a ten day ride from Delhi to Ladakh running September 26 to October 5, 2025. The format mixes real world terrain with skill sessions.

Riders get guidance on high altitude techniques, obstacle handling, first aid, and adventure photography. The idea is simple. Show the bike working in typical Indian touring conditions and build a riding community around the SX.

On the retail side, Suzuki is pairing the update with limited period offers. Exchange benefits go up to Rs 5,000. Insurance support is listed up to Rs 8,000. An extended warranty option is available for Rs 1,709.

Financing options are advertised up to 100 percent on road with no hypothecation, which lowers the entry barrier for first time buyers. These are straightforward sweeteners that address price sensitive shoppers in the quarter litre space.

Price Holds. Rivals Take Note.

The decision to hold price steady at Rs 1.98 lakh ex-showroom keeps the SX competitive against the Yezdi Adventure and KTM 250 Adventure. The SX is not the most off road focused tool in this set, but it offers a friendly engine, practical ergonomics, and touring basics at a price that undercuts many larger rivals.

With recent GST related savings of Rs 17,982 already reducing ownership costs, the unchanged price strengthens the value pitch without cutting features.

The new colours help the bike look fresher on the showroom floor and on social feeds, which matters in a crowd of newer ADV launches. For existing fans of the platform, the update is an easy yes. For shoppers comparing across brands, the SX’s appeal remains its balance of everyday usability, light touring ability, and sensible pricing.
