Careless Tata Nexon Driver Crashes Into KTM RC8 Superbike Rider [Video]

Riding a superbike in India is not an easy task. There is constant attention from people on the road, potholes, and other distracted drivers. All of these combined sometimes result in accidents, and recently, one such example has been shared online. In a vlog shared by a KTM RC8R superbike rider, he showed how a careless Tata Nexon driver hit him on the road while it was raining.
This video, showing the minor crash between a Tata Nexon and a KTM RC8R superbike, has been shared on YouTube. It comes courtesy of Cherry Vlogs. In this video, the vlogger goes on a joy ride with his riding buddy, who was riding a Kawasaki superbike, while the vlogger himself was riding his KTM RC8R.
At the beginning, everything appeared very normal as the KTM rider and his friend were riding normally on the scenic roads. However, what happens in the middle of the vlog is that he comes across a Tata Nexon driver. It can be noted that his friend first overtakes the Tata Nexon.
However, being extra cautious, the KTM rider does not immediately overtake the Nexon. He waits for the perfect opportunity to make the pass, and he does it without any issues. But for some odd reason, the Tata Nexon driver starts driving slightly faster, as if he was trying to catch the KTM rider.
Unfortunately, during this, at one point, the KTM rider had to apply his brakes, and he slowed down slightly. However, at the same moment, due to the speed being slightly high and there being water on the road due to rain, the Tata Nexon driver could not stop his vehicle in time. The result of this was that he crashed into the rear wheel of the KTM RC8R.
Thankfully, the crash was very minor, and it did not affect the KTM rider. He managed to keep the balance of his bike and ride ahead. The video, however, shows that the Tata Nexon driver did not stop the car to check on the biker. Rather, he continued driving ahead, trying to escape the situation.
This agitated the KTM rider, and he started shouting and pacing towards the car. He then came alongside the driver of the Nexon and asked him to stop on the side. Soon after this, the Nexon driver came to the side of the road. It was then noted that there were four people in the car.
They all started apologizing for the crash. The Nexon driver stated, “Sorry brother, the vehicle slipped due to the rain.” Following this, the driver, along with the passengers, once again apologized, and they then continued ahead.
Although we are now approaching winter, there are still some places in the country that are experiencing rain. For this reason, it is very important to highlight that driving in rainy conditions is very different from driving in normal conditions. The biggest differentiating factor is the slipperiness of the roads.
As rainwater collects on the road, it makes it difficult for tyres to get proper grip. If the brakes are applied rapidly, this standing water can cause hydroplaning. The result of this causes the vehicle to slip on the road, and unprepared drivers can completely lose control and crash with other vehicles or objects.
So while riding a two-wheeler or driving a car in the rain, drivers should maintain a safe distance from the vehicles ahead. Also, brakes should be applied gently, and the driver should be alert at all times to avoid any accidents.
