Just a few days ago, the United Kingdom-based motorcycle brand Triumph launched its latest café racer motorcycle, the Thruxton 400, in India. This particular motorcycle was long-awaited, and it has now started arriving at Triumph dealerships across the country. Recently, a first ride review of the Triumph Thruxton 400 was shared online. In this video, the rider provides all the unique details of this motorcycle.

Triumph Thruxton 400 ride review

The ride review of the Triumph Thruxton 400 café racer was shared on YouTube by Biker Babu Bike Hunter on their channel. In the video, the host mentions that people have been asking for a comparison video of the Thruxton against the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, Honda CB 350, and Continental GT. However, in this video, he gives his first riding impressions of this bike.

Following the introduction, the vlogger mentions that in West Bengal, where he belongs, the bike costs approximately Rs 3.3 lakh (on-road), and the ex-showroom price is Rs 2.74 lakh. After talking about the pricing, he first points out that the frame of the Thruxton 400 is different from the Speed 400, and the riding stance, rider, and pillion footpegs are also different.

Another important point that he highlights is that the Triumph Thruxton 400 is E20-compliant and gets a 13-litre fuel tank. After this, he starts showing the front end of the bike and mentions that it gets LED turn indicators, 43 mm USD front suspension with reflectors, 300 mm Bybre four-piston front callipers, and a 230 mm single-piston disc brake in the rear.

He then adds that the bike gets a company-fitted saree guard as well. Following this, he starts talking about the powerplant of this bike. The Triumph Thruxton 400 comes equipped with a TR Series 400 cc engine, which produces about 42 BHP at 9,000 RPM. The bike also delivers approximately 37.5 Nm of torque at 7,500 RPM and gets a 6-speed gearbox.

Moving on, he gives a detailed walkaround of the Thruxton 400 and mentions that in the rear it gets LED taillights, and in the front, it also gets LED headlights with round LED DRL. He adds that with the new fairing, the bike looks very macho and aggressive.

First ride review

After providing all the facts and figures about the Triumph Thruxton 400, the rider then takes the bike out for its first ride. He mentions that he immediately feels that the bike is very powerful and fun to ride. He adds that he has ridden all its rivals, and the performance that it offers is very impressive. He mentions that he is not able to test the top-end performance due to the lack of space.

Following this, he makes a U-turn, for which he has to struggle a little. He mentions that as this bike is a café racer, the turning radius is slightly more. He then starts talking about the mileage of the Thruxton 400. According to the host, this premium motorcycle will provide a mileage of 20–30 kmpl.

Moving on, he talks about the engine performance and riding, which he highlights as being very smooth. He also tests the braking of this bike and mentions that it stops where it needs to, and the braking performance is very good. Overall, the rider highlights that the Thruxton 400 offers amazing performance and is a very good package.
