Triumph launched its entry-level motorcycle Speed 400 and the Scrambler version of the motorcycle in the market a few years ago. Apart from the roadster and the scrambler, Triumph has been working on a new motorcycle too. It is the Thruxton 400, and it is scheduled to be launched on August 4th this year. Before its official launch, the upcoming Thruxton 400 motorcycle has now been fully revealed.

The images have been shared by Iamabikerdotcom on their Instagram page. In these images, we see the upcoming Triumph Thruxton 400 motorcycle at a Triumph dealership. A video had recently surfaced online where a Thruxton 400 was being unloaded from a truck.

This could mean that production for this motorcycle has already started, and it is likely to be seen at dealerships, probably on the same day as the launch. The Thruxton 400, as seen in the images, is a café racer and is based on the Speed 400 motorcycle.

The motorcycle seen here is finished in a dual-tone of yellow and silver with black accents in certain areas. The motorcycle does look clean in the images, and the front fairing is what makes it stand out. The front fairing with a raked windscreen is what gives it that identity. While this is based on the Speed 400, Triumph would have made necessary changes to ensure that it feels like a different motorcycle. For example, the seating position on this motorcycle will be different from that of the regular Speed 400.

The design is also not new - Triumph had bigger café racer models in their lineup, and the 400cc sibling has taken inspiration from them. The side panel on the motorcycle shows a sticker that reveals the official name of the motorcycle. It will be officially called the Thruxton 400. The motorcycle does give off a neo-retro vibe. It looks classic but doesn’t compromise on the features front.

It comes with bar-end mirrors, a sporty seat cowl if you want to use it as a single-seater bike, along with USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The bike also gets alloy wheels, a semi-digital instrument cluster, disc brakes at both ends, dual-channel ABS, selectable riding modes, and so on. The motorcycle will come with LED headlamps and tail lamps and will feature clear-lens turn indicators. The motorcycle does look good in the pictures.

Café racer motorcycles are actually a genre of motorcycling where standard production bikes were modified by their owners and optimized for speed and handling for quick rides over short distances. These are not the most comfortable bikes for touring.

The motorcycle is powered by the same engine as before. It uses a 398cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 39.5 bhp and 37.5 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. While the bike has been fully revealed before the official launch, we don’t have any information about the pricing yet. We are expecting Triumph to launch this bike at a starting price of around ₹2.50 - 2.60 lakh (ex-showroom).
