TVS Launches Captain America-Themed NTORQ 125 Super Soldier Edition At ₹98,117

TVS Motor Company has unveiled its latest Marvel collaboration, the NTORQ 125 Super Soldier Edition. Inspired by the iconic Captain America, this special edition scooter is priced at ₹98,117 ex-showroom Delhi, adding a military-themed variant to the Super Squad lineup, which already includes editions inspired by Iron Man, Thor, and Spider-Man.
The Super Soldier Edition gets a distinctive camouflage-inspired wrap with star insignias and rugged styling elements reminiscent of Captain America's battlefield persona. This edition combines an aggressive design with practical street functionality, targeting Gen Z consumers who appreciate a blend of performance and pop culture aesthetics.
At its core, the Super Soldier Edition houses the 124.8cc, three-valve, single-cylinder engine, renowned for its performance in the NTORQ 125 segment. Delivering 9.39 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 10.6 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm, it can sprint from 0-60 km/h in just 8.9 seconds, making it one of the quickest scooters in its class.
It comes with a comprehensive SmartXonnect system, offering Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, caller identification, and ride statistics, all displayed on a digital speedometer designed to resonate with the gaming console generation. The edition also sports practical features such as a 220mm front disc brake, diamond-cut alloy wheels, and a 20-litre under-seat storage space with integrated USB charging port.
TVS's strategic partnership with Marvel aims to differentiate the NTORQ 125 in the competitive 125cc scooter segment. The Super Squad series taps into the emotional connection consumers have with superhero franchises, transforming the scooter from a mode of transportation into a lifestyle statement.
This strategy has proven successful, with the NTORQ 125 crossing the two million unit sales mark domestically as of May 2025, and establishing itself as TVS's most exported scooter model with over 300,000 units across 19 countries.
The 125cc scooter segment has witnessed robust growth, with a compound annual growth rate of over 40% in recent years. Despite facing competition from established models like Honda's Grazia and Suzuki's Access 125, TVS's Marvel editions command a premium, positioned between the Race Edition and Race XP variants, allowing TVS to capture higher margins while appealing to consumers seeking unique offerings.
Looking ahead, TVS is developing the NTORQ 150, aiming to tap into the emerging 150cc sporty scooter segment. This expansion capitalises on the NTORQ brand's market presence and addresses the demand for higher displacement options. The launch of the Super Soldier Edition, coinciding with the festive season, reflects TVS's strategic timing to boost sales, despite facing internal competition from the iQube electric scooter.
