Ultraviolette Launches Shockwave Electric Enduro Bike at Rs 1.5 Lakh

Ultraviolette has always been a two-wheeler brand known for bringing unique products to the market. Today, at Ultraviolette’s Fast Forward India event, they launched the Tesseract electric scooter and the electric enduro bike, Shockwave. This electric bike has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 1.5 lakh. The introductory price is valid for the first 1,000 customers, after which the cost will increase to Rs 1.75 lakh.
Shockwave is a "Funduro," as Ultraviolette calls it. The electric motorcycle is designed like a fun-to-ride enduro or dirt bike. Ultraviolette opted for a design that would appeal to customers who love off-roading.
It is a sleek and sharp-looking motorcycle. It features vertically placed dual LED projector headlamps, a tall windscreen, a sharp front beak, wire-spoke wheels, dual-purpose tires, and more.
The bike comes with a single seat that can accommodate two riders. The high-set handlebar offers an upright riding position, and it also comes with a fully digital instrument cluster that supports Bluetooth, smartphone pairing, and many other connected features.
The bike is equipped with a 37 mm front telescopic suspension with 200 mm of travel. The rear suspension duties are handled by a monoshock with 180 mm of travel. The Shockwave comes with 17-inch wheels at the rear and 19-inch wheels at the front. Both the front and rear feature disc brakes with dual-function switchable ABS.
The motorcycle also includes features like four-level traction control, six levels of dynamic regeneration, a chain drive, and many more.
In terms of performance, the Ultraviolette Shockwave is powered by an electric motor generating 14.7 BHP and 505 Nm of peak torque at the rear wheel. The electric motor is mated to a single-speed transmission. The 4 kWh battery pack on this bike is capable of offering a claimed riding range of 165 km. The Shockwave weighs only around 120 kg, making it quick as well. This electric enduro motorcycle can accelerate from 0-60 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, with a top speed of 120 km/h.
It definitely looks like a promising product. This is the first time an Indian brand has attempted something like this. While it may not be a volume seller, it will certainly appeal to enthusiasts who appreciate a stylish dirt or off-road bike without breaking the bank.
If you’re a Marvel movie fan, you’ve probably heard this name before. In this case, however, Tesseract is the name of Ultraviolette’s recently launched scooter. This is also a high-performance electric scooter designed to look like a spacecraft. It has a futuristic yet practical design, featuring 34 liters of under-seat storage, front and rear radar for spatial awareness, Blind Spot Detection, Overtake Alert, Collision Alert, cruise control, park assist, hill hold, keyless access, and many more features.
This futuristic scooter has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom). This price applies to the first 10,000 customers, after which it will be revised to Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom).
