Ultraviolette Automotive has set a reputation for itself by manufacturing and launching the F77 electric sports bike and further the Mach 2 version of the same. Now the company has launched a new charging component called the UVLYNC that lets you charge electric two-wheelers at electric car chargers. The gadget has a price of Rs 2,999 and is compatible with AC chargers of any make. This component will simplify the process of charging electric two-wheelers and give them access to the widespread network of electric car charging stations.

Interestingly, this component can be used on any electric two-wheelers and not just Ultraviolette models. The product will be sold through Ultraviolette dealerships and the company’s official website. Electric two-wheeler owners often find charging a challenge. Usually, they need to be plugged into AC wall chargers/ plug points to recharge the battery. A two or three-pin socket is generally used for this. The onboard charger first converts AC power into DC power. The DC current is then stored in the battery pack.
UVLYNC is a unique unique Type 2 equipment. One end of it attaches to these two or three-pin chargers and the other can be connected to the AC charging point at most electric car charging stations. EV public chargers offer both AC and DC charging solutions- based on CCS2 charger points.

This component will allow electric two-wheeler users to get access to 4,000+ AC charging stations and 1 lakh Type 2 AC charging stations. The UVLYNC will thus make it possible for electric scooters and motorcycles to do intercity commutes and other long hauls.
Niraj Rajmohan, Co-Founder and CTO – Ultraviolette commented, “By providing a universal interface, this solution expands charging possibilities and fosters greater confidence in embracing electric mobility. As more riders transition to EVs, the UVLYNC will not only simplify daily charging needs but also accelerate the development of an inclusive and robust electric ecosystem nationwide.”
Ultraviolette’s Electric Motorcycles
The F77 was the first electric motorcycle launched by Ultraviolette Automotive (UVA) in the Indian market. The F77 debuted in 2022, in two different trims and three different colourways. The F77 Original comes with a 7.1kWh battery pack and has a claimed range of 207 km (IDC). The Recon variant on the other hand, has a larger 10.3kWh battery, claimed to deliver a range of 307 km per charge. The two variants also differ in their power outputs. The Original variant delivers 27kW and 85Nm while the Recon delivers 29kW and 95Nm. The motorcycle also comes with selectable ride modes- Glide, Combat and Ballistic.
Key features offered on the electric motorcycle include a 5-inch TFT dash with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and notification alerts, ride analytics, real-time location, crash detection and battery statistics.
The F77 is based on a steel trellis frame with an aluminium bulkhead. The suspension setup consists of a 41mm USD fork and rear mono-shock, and both ends can be adjusted for preload. The bike gets 320mm disc up front and a 230mm disc at the rear. Dual-channel ABS is standard on all variants of the F77.
The company offers a warranty of 3 years or 30,000km on the Original variant, while the Recon comes with a 5-year or 50,000km warranty.
Ultraviolette launched the F77 Mach2- essentially a minor update, in April 2024- a year and half after it was first launched in the country. The new bike came with better range and at a more affordable price.
