Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover Electric Motorcycle: First TVC Out
Ultraviolette Automotive’s latest launch opens doors to the concept of electric adventure motorcycling. The X47 Crossover is claimed to be an electric dual-sport motorcycle that can even do intercity tours. The Bengaluru-based company launched it on September 23, at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 2.49 lakh. Now, Ultraviolette has released the motorcycle’s first official TV Commercial (TVC) on its YouTube channel, showing the EV in detail.

It starts by showing the rider walking towards the parked bike. We then get closer looks at the LED tail lamps, and the F77-borrowed LED headlamp as he hops on the saddle. He turns the X47 on and takes it out of the parking. Here, we can see generous wheel-spin and smoke.
We then see the motorcycle being ridden on smooth urban roads and then taken to some off-road patch. It is seen riding fast through sandy patches with ruts and gravel, with the rider standing on the foot pegs, much like what we see on regular dual-sport motorcycles.
The video then shows the motorcycle’s switchable traction control that offers three selectable levels (T1, T2, T3) as well. The rider turns it off and does some cool slides and stunts with the motorcycle on sandy patches. He then takes it to smooth winding roads. The X47 (10.3kWh version) is claimed to have an intercity (IDC) range of 323 km per charge.
Later in the video, we see back-to-back visuals of the rider performing insane stunts in an urban setting and riding through offbeat patches and locations. At some point, he even engages the ‘Ballistic’ mode and does a high-speed cruise. This motorcycle delivers 40hp and 610 Nm of wheel torque. 0-60 kph is done in just 2.7 seconds. The top speed here is 145 kph.
The video also shows the rider plugging it in at a cafe. The X-47 features a 1.6 kW onboard charger. It will make life a lot easier for owners. As the video progresses, we see the X-47’s radar-based systems in action. It comes with the UV Hypersense suite that offers a series of radar-assisted rider aids and warnings. The video shows the blind spot warning and dash camera systems in action.
More About The X-47 Crossover
Like the other products from the manufacturer, the X-47 excels with its design. The tall stance, angular bodywork, high-set handlebars, and knuckle guards make its intentions clear. The LED headlamp has been borrowed from the F77. The seat is a single-piece unit, and there is even a wind deflector offered. Three colours are available, all of which can be seen in the video.
The feature list on the X-47 consists of the UV Hypersense, dual-channel ABS, dual screens, traction control, dynamic stability control, selectable regen and ride modes, and more. The motorcycle will be available in three variants- Laser, Airstrike, and Shadow.
The front gets USD forks and the rear comes with a mono-shock setup. Both wheels feature single discs and two battery options are offered- 7.1 and 10.3 kWh- same as the F77 family. The X-47 has become the most affordable motorcycle from Ultraviolette with a sub-3 lakh price point, even after the price revision that would follow after the first batch gets sold out.
UV has already started accepting orders, and the X-47 has had a strong demand here. Over 3000 bookings were made in the first day alone. Considering the same, the company has now extended the introductory price to the first 5000 customers.
