In the last decade, the number of women interested in riding has increased. We have several women in the country who are passionate about riding and have gone on several road trips on their motorcycles. Even celebrities are on this list. Initially, riders used to opt for mass-market motorcycles that were not too expensive to buy and maintain. However, things are slowly changing, and we now have several riders who own expensive adventure tourers. Here, we have one such video of a woman rider who arrived in a BMW 3-Series to pick up her brand-new BMW 1300 GS.
The video has been shared by KUN BMW Motorrad on their Instagram page. It starts with a red-colored BMW 3-Series entering the dealership. The customer gets out of the car and walks into the dealership. The customer, a woman, is there to take delivery of her brand-new R 1300 GS adventure tourer motorcycle.
The customer’s name is mentioned as Ms. Vandhana, and it looks like she is an avid rider. After finishing the paperwork, she walks toward her bike, checks it out, and takes delivery. Once the formalities are done, the dealership executive explains all the features to Ms. Vandhana.
The BMW R 1300 GS is an expensive motorcycle. How expensive, you ask? Well, if you plan to buy a new one, you would have to spend around Rs 21 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle was launched in the market last year and is offered in four variants: Light White, Triple Black, GS Trophy, and Option 719 Tramuntana. The motorcycle seen in the video appears to be the Triple Black variant.
Coming to the motorcycle, its exterior design is similar to the older GS series motorcycles. It looks huge from the front and comes with cross-spoked tubeless tires. Features like an electronic windscreen, bidirectional quick shifter, center stand, Pro riding modes, and many more come as standard.

Except for the base Light White variant, all other variants get the Touring package as standard. The package includes pannier mounts, chromed exhaust header pipes, an adaptive headlight, knuckle-guard extenders, and mounting for a GPS device. The Triple Black variant is the only one that offers the Adaptive Ride Height feature as an option.
The top-end 719 Tramuntana gets radar-assisted safety features like Active Cruise Control and Front Collision Warning, as well as an eye-catching Green/Yellow paint option, various milled metal components, and additional radar-assisted safety features.
The BMW R 1300 GS is powered by a 1,300cc twin-cylinder engine that generates 145 Bhp and 149 Nm of peak torque. The motorcycle comes with a 19-liter fuel tank, making it suitable for long rides. It weighs around 237 kg. We hope that Ms. Vandhana has a great time with the motorcycle and that she’ll explore new places on her new ride.
BMW adventure tourers are extremely popular among celebrities in India. A Tamil movie star, who is also a professional car racer, owns a BMW R 1250 GS. Similarly, Malayalam actress Manju Warrier, who was inspired by Ajith Kumar, also bought the same bike. Many other actors in Bollywood also own expensive bikes like these.
